In commemoration of World Hypertension Day, the Cardiology Department of Kuwait Teaching Hospital (KTH), a constituent of Peshawar Medical College, organized an awareness event at the hospital premises aimed at educating the public on the prevention and management of high blood pressure.
The event featured a prominent awareness banner promoting healthy lifestyle habits, with the key message "Avoid Smoking and Drugs, Embrace Physical Activity and Consume a Balanced Diet" essential steps to prevent hypertension and related cardiac complications.
Doctors, nurses, and students actively participated in a walk organized as part of the awareness campaign, engaging with the public and distributing informative materials.
The initiative reflects Kuwait Teaching Hospital’s ongoing commitment to public health advocacy and its continuous efforts to raise awareness about critical health issues.

The Cardiology Department of Kuwait Teaching Hospital, a constituent of Peshawar Medical College, organized a free medical camp in Regi Model Town. The initiative aimed to provide quality cardiac care and promote health awareness among underserved communities.
The camp was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdur Rauf (Cardiologist) and comprised both male and female doctors, along with dedicated support staff.
The team offered consultations, conducted diagnostic tests, and provided preventive health advice to visiting patients. The camp facilitated:
• 42 OPD consultations
• 36 ECG tests
• 29 blood sugar tests
This initiative reflects the continued commitment of Kuwait Teaching Hospital and Peshawar Medical College to public health promotion and community outreach. Kuwait Teaching Hospital Hosts First Tumor Board Clinico-Pathological Conference
Kuwait Teaching Hospital (KTH hosted the first Clinico-Pathological Conference of the "Tumor Board KTH." The conference focused on advancements in cancer diagnosis, treatment, and multidisciplinary care.
Dr. Aakif Ullah, Director of IRNUM, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Expert speakers included Prof. Dr. Abdul Majid (HOD Radiology), who discussed the role of interventional radiology in cancer treatment, Assistant Prof. Dr. Bilal Ahmad (Oncologist), who highlighted cancer awareness initiatives, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Shaukat Khattak (Urologist), who elaborated on uro-oncological services.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Zia, Medical Superintendent of Kuwait Teaching Hospital, emphasized the significance of such academic discussions in enhancing patient care and research in oncology.
