A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between PMIU Secondary Revamping and PGMI to collaborate on capacity-building training for Medical Officers at DHQ Hospitals, aiming to enhance healthcare service delivery.

Upon the directives of Director General Health Services,KP , a free medical camp was organized by the District Health Team Peshawar at UC Sufaid Dehri with support from Rotary International in response to the increases number of cases in vector borne diseases. Over 650 patients received curative services provided by male and female teams of doctors. Screening and testing of symptomatic patients and OPV vaccinations was done by paramedical staff from the District Health Office Peshawar.
The activities were supervised by Dr. Atif DDHO Peshawar, Dr. Anthony Public Health Coordinator Peshawar and Dr. Mussawir Deputy Director Public Health DGHS. District entomologist and IDSRS FP conducted awareness sessions highlighting the importance of community involvement in protecting against vectors during the high risk season. Houses in high disease burden areas were inspected larvae was identified and community was sensitized on water storage and destruction of larvae practices.

صوبائی وزیر صحت خیبرپختونخواہ خلیق الرحمان کا آج ہیلتھ سیکرٹریٹ پشاور آمد۔

صوبائی وزیر صحت خلیق الرحمان نے محکمہ صحت کی طرف سے منعقدہ تعارفی اجلاس کی صدارت کی۔ اجلاس میں سیکرٹری ہیلتھ، ڈی جی ہیلتھ اور محکمہ صحت کے متعلقہ افسران نے شرکت کی۔

اجلاس میں سیکرٹری ہیلتھ اور متعلقہ افسران نے صوبائی وزیر صحت خلیق الرحمان کو محکمہ صحت کے حوالے سے تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔ اجلاس میں ڈینگی وبائی مرض کے حوالے سے تفصیلی گفتگو کی گئی۔ سیکرٹری ہیلتھ ڈی جی ہیلتھ اور متعلقہ افسران نے صوبائی وزیر صحت کو صوبے میں ڈینگی مرض کے حوالے سے تفصیلات پیش کئے۔

صوبائی وزیر صحت خیبر پختونخوا خلیق الرحمان نے لیڈی ریڈنگ اسپتال پشاور میں ڈینگی وائرس سے متاثرہ مریضوں کے وارڈ کا دورہ کیا۔

صوبائی وزیر صحت نے ڈینگی کے مریضوں سے ملاقات کی اور فراہم کی گئی سہولیات کا جائزہ لیا۔ انہوں نے ڈسٹرکٹ ہیلتھ آفیسر اور اسپتال انتظامیہ کو ہدایت کی کہ ڈینگی کے مریضوں کو ہر ممکن سہولت فراہم کی جائے۔

اس موقع پر سیکرٹری صحت شاہداللہ اور ڈسٹرکٹ ہیلتھ آفیسر پشاور ڈاکٹر سید ادریس بھی صوبائی وزیر صحت
خلیق الرحمان کے ہمراہ تھے۔

انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ صفائی ستھرائی کا خاص خیال رکھیں، گھروں اور اردگرد کے علاقوں میں پانی جمع نہ ہونے دیں، اور محکمۂ صحت کی ٹیموں کے ساتھ بھرپور تعاون کریں تاکہ ڈینگی اور دیگر وبائی امراض کے خطرے کو کم سے کم کیا جا سکے۔

صوبائی وزیر صحت خلیق الرحمان کا ڈینگی وائرس کو روکنے کے لیے ہر ممکنہ کوشش کی ہدایات جاری کئے۔ضلع مردان کے پارلیمینٹرین افتخار علی مشوانی، ظاہر شاہ طورو اور عبدالسلام آفریدی بھی صوبائی وزیر صحت خلیق الرحمان کے ہمراہ تھے۔

A 2nd workshop on the establishment of the IDSR Laboratory Network in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was conducted in line with the Health Department Road Map 2025. The workshop was attended by laboratory focal persons nominated from tertiary and secondary care facilities across the province. The workshop aimed to strengthen the laboratory network under the IHR core components framework

The Project Director IDSR/Director Public Health, Dr. Saleem, briefly explained the importance of the laboratory network. Officials from the Public Health Reference Lab, KMU and Public Health section along with the UK Health Security Agency UKHSA team, also briefed the attendees on the critical role of timely detection, prevention and response to outbreaks.

وزیرِ صحت خیبر پختونخوا جناب خلیق الرحمٰن کی ہدایت پر ڈائریکٹر جنرل ہیلتھ سروسز خیبر پختونخوا ڈاکٹر شاہد یونس اور ڈسٹرکٹ ہیلتھ آفیسر پشاور ڈاکٹر سید محمد ادریس نے بنیادی مرکز صحت سفید ڈھیری (BHU Sufaid Dheri) اور گاؤں میں قائم ڈینگی آگاہی و تشخیصی کیمپ کا دورہ کیا، جہاں انہوں نے محکمۂ صحت کی جانب سے جاری انسدادِ ڈینگی اقدامات کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا۔

دورے کے دوران پبلک ہیلتھ ریفرنس لیبارٹری (PHRL) کی ٹیم نے ڈینگی اور چکن گونیا کے ممکنہ کیسز کی تشخیص کے لیے نمونے حاصل کیے، تاکہ بروقت ٹیسٹنگ اور مؤثر حکمتِ عملی تشکیل دی جا سکے۔

ڈائریکٹر جنرل ہیلتھ سروسز نے اس موقع پر کہا کہ وزیرِ صحت کی ہدایت پر محکمۂ صحت ڈینگی کے خاتمے کے لیے مربوط اور منظم حکمتِ عملی پر عمل پیرا ہے۔ اس مقصد کے لیے ڈسٹرکٹ ہیلتھ آفس پشاور میں چوبیس گھنٹے فعال ڈینگی کنٹرول روم قائم کیا گیا ہے، جب کہ دیگر اضلاع میں بھی ضرورت کے مطابق کنٹرول رومز قائم کیے جائیں گے۔

مزید برآں، متاثرہ علاقوں میں باقاعدگی سے اسپرے, حجروں میں آگاہی سیشنز اور دیگر احتیاطی اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں تاکہ مچھروں کی افزائش کو روکا جا سکے اور عوام کو ایک محفوظ اور صحت مند ماحول فراہم کیا جا سکے۔

انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ صفائی ستھرائی کا خاص خیال رکھیں، گھروں اور اردگرد کے علاقوں میں پانی جمع نہ ہونے دیں، اور محکمۂ صحت کی ٹیموں کے ساتھ بھرپور تعاون کریں تاکہ ڈینگی اور دیگر وبائی امراض کے خطرے کو کم سے کم کیا جا سکے۔

24th Cohort of the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) Frontline Pakistan for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was successfully completed. Participants learned skills in surveillance data audits and outbreak investigations, which they conducted in the field under mentorship and were evaluated by the NIH Islamabad team. The Director Public Health expressed gratitude to the NIH team and the Global Fund for organizing the training. He also encouraged the participating Public Health Coordinators and District Surveillance Officers from various districts to effectively apply these skills in the field to ensure timely and efficient outbreak response.
