Blind Chess and Archery Training Camp – Opening Ceremony
The Blind Chess and Archery Training Camp at Akab School for the Blind, Mirpur (Kashmir), officially commenced with a warm and inspiring opening ceremony.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Muhammad Ramzan, Regional Sports Officer Mirpur, along with Prof. Muhammad Ilyas Ayub, Founder and Principal of Akab School, Muhammad Waqas, President PBSF, Ajeet Kumar, Secretary Chess, Faizan Khattak, Secretary Archery, and Muhammad Ilyas Jatt, President Punjab Blind Sports Association.
Players have begun their training, and this camp also serves as the official selection camp for the Asia Individual Chess for the Blind and Visually Impaired Championship 2026.
Prof. Muhammad Ilyas Ayub announced that by the end of March 2026, either the wooden floor for goalball or the kick boards for blind football will be completed to further enhance sports facilities for blind athletes.
