Visit to Community Centers and Government Girls High School, Kamber – HPV Vaccination Awareness and Health System Review
Today, Dr. Capt. Nasrullah Soomro, Director of Health Services, Larkana Division, visited various community centers and the Government Girls High School, Kamber, to promote awareness regarding HPV vaccination and its role in the prevention of cervical cancer.
During his visit, Dr. Soomro held a meeting with the Principal of the school to discuss the implementation and importance of the HPV vaccination program for adolescent girls. The visit was warmly received by Dr. Gulzar Ali Tunio, District Health Officer (DHO) Kamber, along with his team.

Both officers shared their views on raising awareness about vaccination and the prevention of cervical cancer among the community and school children.
Later in the day, a review meeting was held at the DHO Office, chaired by Dr. Capt. Nasrullah Soomro, with Dr. Gulzar Ali Tunio (DHO) and Dr. Saeed Akhtar Tunio (Medical Superintendent, DHQ Hospital Kamber), along with the hospital team. The meeting focused on:
Improvements in hospital services.
Availability and supply of essential medicines.
Ensuring regularity and punctuality of medical, nursing, and allied health staff.
Sanitation and hygiene measures within the hospital.
This visit emphasized the department’s ongoing commitment to strengthening public health initiatives, especially preventive care, and improving healthcare service delivery across the district.
