Exostosis, also called osteoma, is a benign growth of new bone on top of existing bone. It can occur in many parts of the body. When the exostosis is covered with cartilage, it's called an osteochondroma. Exostosis can be painless, or it can cause severe pain and require surgical removal.

A young adult with this bony outgrowth having difficulty in sitting and catching sensation, clicks due to this projection is successfully operated and the extra bony growth is sent for biopsy examination .

A very painful condition of the thumb is called Dequervains tenosynovitis. Which greatly disturbs patient activities of daily living.
If non surgical options fails then a small surgical procedure quickly relieves the pain and improves thumb mobility. It’s a day care procedure.

Sometimes when conservative treatment fails , Surgery remains the only option .
This kid is unable to walk, a birth defect in the foot, maltreated . So corrective surgery performed to make him stand and again and use the foot normally again in a plantigrade position to make him functional again.
It’s an extensive, delicate surgery .

A 6 year old child with hip dislocation by birth, with awkward walking , difficulty in walking, limping gait was operated successfully.

It is a difficult procedure but if performed correctly has very good outcome and child hip will escape arthritis ( degenerate hip changes ) later in life .
All parents should observe their kids gait and if they suspect any problem like pain, gait abnormality, limping, issues with child walking or running should immediately consult an orthopaedic surgeon .
As the child grows treatment becomes more difficult with gradually poor outcome.
The younger the child better the outcome .
