🚗✈️ Exploring Modes of Transport with Our Cochlear Implant Superstar! 🚢🚌
At Little Learners, we make learning meaningful, interactive, and language-rich — especially for our young cochlear implant users.
Today’s focus: Modes of Transport!
Through pictures, toys, actions, and storytelling, our therapist is building:
✨ Cognitive Skills:
Identifying vehicles, sorting land/air/water transport, understanding functions, and making choices.
✨ Communication Skills:
Using clear listening cues, modeling vocabulary, expanding utterances (for example: “big bus,” “fast car,” “airplane is flying”), and encouraging spontaneous speech.
✨ Auditory Skills:
Listening to real-life sounds (car honk, airplane, train), matching sounds to pictures, and improving sound discrimination.
✨ Concept Development:
Fast/slow, big/small, near/far, and where things move (on road, in the sky, on water).
✨ Functional Language:
Asking and answering questions like:
“Where is the plane going?”
“What do we use to travel on the road?”
Encouraging the child to describe, compare, and narrate small stories.
Every activity supports auditory-verbal learning, language expansion, and concept building — helping our cochlear implant learners understand and communicate better every day. 💛
