Every year on May 8th, the world pauses to recognize World Thalassemia Day ✨. For us at the Medicos Aid Society, this isn’t just a date on the calendar—it is a call to action for a healthier Pakistan.
Thalassemia is a hereditary blood disorder passed from parents to children. In Pakistan, thousands of children are born with this condition every year, facing a lifetime of medical challenges. However, the tragedy of Thalassemia is that it is preventable through awareness and timely screening.

Let’s honor this day by committing to the goal of a Thalassemia-free Pakistan. Share this information—you might be the reason a family makes the right decision today.
