Al-Shifa School of Public Health, Rawalpindi Our motto is to “strive for excellence in public health” which we would like to transfer to all the students admitted in the MSPH program.

The Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) is offered by Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital under the auspices of the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. I would like to congratulate you all for selecting this very important subject of public health. I am very confident that you will benefit academically and professionally from studying at the School of Public Health, Pakistan Institute of Ophthalmology. Our MSPH program has been designed keeping in view current and emerging public health issues. Our courses have been planned keeping in view national, regional and international health priorities. The emphasis of our MSPH program is not only to transfer knowledge of public health but also to acquire of research skills. We believe that for the success of any program, the research component should be very strong that is why one whole semester has been reserved for planning, implementation and analysis of a research project. At the Pakistan Institute of Ophthalmology and the School of Public Health, we strongly believe in creating an enabling environment, and an atmosphere of higher learning founded on ethical principles. We also believe that a diverse group of students contribute to this learning process.

Al-Shifa School of Public Health in partnership with the Punjab Health Department, celebrated World Breastfeeding Week by hosting a seminar on the Integrated Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (IRMNCH) program and the Promotion of Mother Feed for a Healthy Nation. The event brought together key stakeholders to discuss this year’s theme, Closing the gap: Breastfeeding support for all.
The seminar featured a diverse lineup of distinguished speakers, including Dr. Ayesha Babar Kawish, Head of the Al-Shifa School of Public Health, Ms. Tehseen Fawad, MPA, Ms. Rifat Abbasi MPA, Dr Ehsan Ghani, DHO Preventive Services, Dr. Naveed Malik, District Coordinator RWP IRMNCH and Nutrition, Dr. Aijaz Ahmed, Director Health Services, District Health Authority, Rawalpindi Division, Dr. Zunaira Aftab, Additional Deputy Commissioner, HQ, and Dr. Asif Arbab Khan Niazi, Chief Executive Officer, District Health Authority, Rawalpindi.
The event concluded with an address by Maj Gen (R) Rehmat Khan, President of Al-Shifa Trust. He reaffirmed the institution's commitment to advancing public health by intensifying outreach efforts and actively involving public health students in research-based projects and community

Al-Shifa School of Public Health successfully hosted and conducted an educational/training visit for 4th-year MBBS students from FUMC Islamabad at Al-Shifa Trust.
