Yellowing of tongue that is mostly seen in patients who have just recovered from a long illness is representative of their weak immune system or affect of stomach acidity(might be side effect of medicines). But apart from them in many people who seems to be healthy but having stomach acidity have yellow tongue.

Healthy tongue is usually pink in color examine the color of your tongue have it changed its color?? WAIT... Remember the best time to examine tongue is before taking breakfast and even morning coffee. Hot and spicy meal may affect your tongue color for a very short span (that is obviously just a natural response not indicative for any of internal disturbance)

Sugars found in sweet drinks, sports drinks and confectionery and the acids found in some fruits and drinks, can provide the substrate for enhancing acid production and bacterial growth that can leads to dental caries.
