This patient presents with a right-sided anterior innominate rotation.
Our MET approach is designed to restore pelvic symmetry by using the body’s own muscles.
🔹 Key muscle activation • Right side: Hamstrings & gluteals to encourage posterior rotation
• Left side: Re**us femoris to facilitate anterior rotation
🔹 Patient positioning ✔ Supine lying
✔ Right hip and knee flexed
✔ Therapist stabilizes the left distal femur
✔ Therapist’s chest provides a stable counter-force on the right side
🔹 Technique • Patient pushes the right leg into hip extension against resistance
• Simultaneously lifts the left leg into the therapist’s hand
• Hold the contraction, relax, and repeat
🔹 Dosage ➡️ Perform 3–5 controlled bouts
This technique helps improve pelvic alignment, SI joint mechanics, and functional movement patterns.
📍Always assess properly and apply METs according to individual presentation.
