According to a survey, only 16% of people know that if someone is on effective treatment, they can’t pass AIDS/HIV.
There are a lot of stigmas associated with AIDS/HIV, but the facts of how you can contract the disease, and how you can protect yourself, are very simple.
Due to misconceptions and misinformation, people tend to isolate the person diagnosed positively. The actual fact is that with proper information about a disease and necessary medical treatment, any infectious disease can be cured or contained.

There is no treatment or vaccination against HIV/AIDS, but with treatment and necessary precautions, it can be controlled at a certain level. With the right treatment, the virus becomes undetectable and untransmutable.
Being undetectable does not mean your HIV/AIDS is cured. The virus stays in your body, but it gets reduced to a very small amount.
This means that if someone tests positive for HIV/AIDS, they must continue the prescribed treatment and the necessary precautions. Otherwise, the viral load will increase affecting their health and making HIV/AIDS transmittable again.
