It was established in 2002 with a sanction of PKR 450 million. 30 seats allocated for the year 2003 in the Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Lahore, which were shifted to the Sialkot Medical College in 2004. However because of local politics, the project was shelved. In April 2007, the President of Pakistan again announced the immediate construction of a Medical College, but the project is s
till in the pipeline. A temporary project office was established at Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital Sialkot which is also the attached teaching hospital. In 2010, the student enrollment was increased to 100 students per year for MBBS. The Government of the Punjab advertised tenders for construction of regular academic block and hostel building. The Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College is attached to the 400 bedded Allama Iqbal Memorial DHQ Hospital Sialkot and 135 bedded Sardar Begum Memorial Hospital, Sialkot. In these hospitals, major specialties including Medical, Surgical, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Eye, ENT, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics,Neurosurgery etc, are available. The teaching has got shifted to its own campus.

Just when we thought something good finally happened here!
This is what has been done to the unit that we had been requesting for years! Why can't the College Administration facilitate the students? Call it speculation, but who's pockets wasn't this dhaba filling that specially police arrived and a crane was arranged to bring this down, when the owners SHOWED ALL THE DOCUMENTS AND PROOF OF PAYING THE TAX AMOUNT? Who ordered this and WHY? Why today, when almost all students left for their homes so that no one could raise a voice against this brutality?
The man who ran this wasn't just a very noble one, but he ran this unit very professionally and honestly. We often saw him picking up the discarded plates and cups from the ground (which wasn't even his job), and disposing them off. Why is this world not a place for SUCH PEOPLE? Once again, the Administration disappoints us!
Give us the answers! And give us back our canteen!

T-Sols was invited to Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College (KMSMC), Sialkot "Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College, Sialkot" to conduct a training session on Professional Ethics, Resume Writing and Interview Skills. The session was scheduled in the first Two Day Annual Medical and Research Conference organized by Solidarity Among Young Nation For Change (SYNCH) at KMSMC Sialkot on 21 – 22 August 2021.
Zaryab Mahmood (Director Operations, T-Sols), started off with an ice breaking activity followed by some deliberation on the importance of Cover Letter, Resume Writing and Statement Of Purpose while applying for a vacant position; specially for USMLE Residency or PLAB Residency in case of the KMSMC students. She said that if a candidate is unable to draft any of these effectively, they do not stand a good chance to get shortlisted for the interview.
Ali Qaswar Khaleeq (Director PR, T-Sols), while discussing the top interview skills, said that after getting shortlisted for the interview, you ought to prepare for the interview with focus to get selected. In this regard he shared some important Do’s and Don’ts for an interview besides answering some typically asked questions in a job interview.
