In 1926, Bovie teamed up with Harvey Cushing, a prominent neurosurgeon, to carry out the first successful surgical procedure using electrosurgery. Their tool of choice was Bovie's innovative "Bovie Electrosurgical Unit," which was used to excise a brain tumor from a patient. 🔌
