The Collis Posterior Lumbar Retractor Set offers a large selection of blades in eight lengths and four widths, for retracting the paraspinal muscles and ligaments on both sides of the spinal column during any type of spinal surgery.

The set includes 32 pairs of blades that cover the gamut of procedure sizes: from microsurgery for unilateral disc protrusion to large decompression for the fusion of scoliosis. Working with 32 available sizes assures having the right blade for any patient or opening size, so the retractor lies flat on the patient's back for an unobstructed view of the operative field. Torque is reduced as well.

Ochsner Classic Aorta Clamp

The Ochsner Atrauma is a hand-held finger ring instrument that is used to clamp major vessels with thick and dense walls, like the aorta or its branches. This is important in ultra-major operations like open repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, or procedures like the dissection of saphenous vein grafts for coronary artery bypass procedures. The finger ring handles have a ratchet mechanism to keep the clamp in a secured and self-retained closed position, enabling the operator to perform other manipulations. The jaws arch backwards to accommodate vessels of different sizes, and the terminal ends curve forwards with round blunt edges to prevent inadvertent damage to surrounding tissues. The medial aspects of the jaws are serrated to provide firm unwavering grasps.

Foerster Sponge Forceps, which may also be known as Foerster-Ballenger Sponge Forceps, are commonly used in surgical procedures to hold gauze squares that will absorb excess fluids and blood from the surgical site or hemostasis.
