FE&MT Eye Care Center Skardu has resumed operations and will be open daily for OPD services from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.

School-based screening camps will be scheduled shortly, and further details will be communicated in due course.

Eye Screening Camp at Uswa Public School Gamba Skardu

We are thrilled to share the highlights from our recent eye screening camp conducted at Uswa Public School Gamba Skardu by the dedicated team of FE&MT Eye Care Center Skardu. 👁️✨

Our mission is to provide essential eye care services and raise awareness about eye health among students. This camp was a wonderful opportunity to ensure that the children of Gamba Skardu have access to quality eye care and can achieve their best in both academics and daily life.

A big thank you to Uswa Public School Gamba Skardu for their cooperation and to our incredible team for their hard work and dedication. Together, we are making a difference, one vision at a time.

Did you know that???

regular eye health checkups are very important for school going children? According to the World Health Organization, more than 2.6 billion children and adolescents have vision impairment, and most of them can be prevented or treated with simple and cost-effective interventions1. Eye health problems can affect children’s learning, development, and well-being. That’s why it is recommended that children have their eyes checked at least once a year by a qualified eye care professional. Eye health checkups can help detect and treat common eye conditions such as refractive errors, cataract, glaucoma, and trachoma. They can also help identify other health issues that may affect the eyes, such as diabetes, hypertension, and infections.

FE&MT Eye Care Team specializes in eye health of school going children.

Currently our school based eye screening camp is in progress at Uswa Boys College, Amir Ali Patel Campus Skardu.

کلاس روم میں بچے کی بہتر تعلیمی عمل کے لئے اچھی بصارت بہت ضروری ہے ، جس سے اسکول میں داخلہ کرنے سے پہلے آنکھوں کا کسی ماہر امراض بصارت سے معائنہ کرانا ضروری ہوجاتا ہے۔
ایک مطالعے کے مطابق 12 سے 17 سال کی عمر کے ایک تہائی سے زیادہ بچے قریب کی نظر کے مسائل کا شکار ہیں ، جو 1970 کی دہائی کے مقابلے میں تیزی سے اضافہ ہے جب اس عمر کے گروپ میں صرف 24 فیصد بچوں کو یہ مسئلہ ہوا کرتا تھا۔
بدقسمتی سے، بہت سے بچے اپنی آنکھوں کا بالکل بھی معائنہ نہیں کراتے ہیں. اور والدین بھی اس حوالے سے آگاہ نہیں ہیں کہ بہت کم عمری میں بھی بچوں کی نظر سے متعلق مسائل ہو سکتے ہیں اور بروقت تشخیص سے اسکا علاج ممکن ہے۔
ٖفرئنڈز ایجوکیشنل اینڈ میڈیکل ٹرسٹ گلگت بلتستان میں جہاں معیاری تعلیم کی ہر بچے تک دسترس کو ممکن بنانے میں مصروف عمل ہے وہاں بچوں اور اساتذہ کے آنکھوں کی دیکھ بھال کے لیے ہر سال سکولوں میں آئی کیمپ کا انعقاد کرتی ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ عبداللہ ہسپتال سکردو میں قائم سنڑ میں بصارت کے متعلق تمام مسائل کا جدید آلات کے زریعے علاج کیا جاتا ہے۔
