Subject: Advisory on Safe Drinking Water Due to Flood Contamination
It is hereby informed to the general public that due to recent floods, the drinking water supply pipelines may be contaminated and unsafe for direct consumption. Therefore, all residents are strictly advised to avoid drinking water directly from the pipelines.
To ensure safety and prevent the spread of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, and hepatitis, the following precautionary measures must be followed:
1. Boil water at 101°C before consumption, or
2. Use certified water filtration systems for drinking purposes.
This public health advisory is issued in the interest of your health and safety. Your cooperation is crucial in protecting yourself and your children from harmful waterborne diseases.
This message is being disseminated for public awareness by the District Administration Skardu in collaboration with the District Health Office Skardu.
