A Preterm Newborn's Journey to Recovery**
A preterm baby was urgently brought to our ER from Khairpur Mirs, struggling with severe breathing difficulty and cyanosis. The situation was dire, and the team quickly diagnosed the newborn with tension pneumothorax.
Acting swiftly, the team performed a chest decompression and placed the baby on a ventilator. For 48 critical hours, the baby was closely monitored and showed remarkable improvement. Once stable, the newborn was extubated, transitioned to high-flow oxygen, and feeding was successfully initiated.
Thanks to the team's expertise and timely intervention, the baby made a full recovery and was safely reunited with the motherโa true testament to the resilience of newborns and the importance of prompt medical care.
