Dr. Ayaz Illahi, MBBS, FCPS, is a PMDC-registered and CPSP board-certified ophthalmologist, Founder & Lead Ophthalmologist at Dr. Ayaz Illahi Eye Clinic. With decades of experience, he has become a trusted name in eye care, performing thousands of advanced surgeries in cataract, glaucoma, retinal diseases, and refractive vision correction. Known for his precision, ethical practice, and compassionate patient care, Dr. Ayaz is committed to restoring sight and improving the quality of life for his patients.
About Him: Dr. Ayaz’s journey in medicine reflects dedication, leadership, and innovation. He completed his MBBS from Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) and FCPS training in Ophthalmology from JPMC Karachi. He has held leadership roles as Chief of Ophthalmology at JPMC Karachi and Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, mentoring young surgeons while advancing surgical techniques in the region. First in his area to implement laser-assisted cataract surgery and premium intraocular lenses, he has also been an early adopter of OCT imaging for retinal disease diagnosis.
Beyond surgery, Dr. Ayaz actively contributes to community health, organizing 50+ free vision screening camps and restoring sight for underserved populations. His mission is not only to treat eyes but to educate patients, enhance awareness about vision care, and make modern ophthalmology accessible to all.
