The sixth and final session of the Foundation of Research: A Beginner’s Pathway series was successfully conducted on the 11th of August, 2025, marking the conclusion of our 6 Webinar Series.

The topic for today was “Write & Publish: Your First Manuscript to Journal Submission”, presented by Asad Rehman Khattak. The session provided a step-by-step walkthrough of transforming research findings into a well-structured manuscript, guiding participants on formatting, referencing, journal selection, and navigating the submission process. Key tips on avoiding common pitfalls, predatory journals, responding to reviewers, and maintaining ethical publishing standards were also discussed.

Like the earlier webinars in the series, this session maintained an interactive and engaging atmosphere, with participants actively asking questions and sharing their experiences. As the closing chapter of the series, it tied together the skills and knowledge covered in previous sessions—empowering attendees to not only conduct research but also contribute their work to the global scientific community.

The fifth session of the Foundation of Research: A Beginner’s Pathway series was held on the 9th of August, 2025.

The topic for today was: “Making Sense of Data: Intro to SPSS, RevMan and Tools,” a session dedicated to introducing participants to some of the most widely used software for statistical analysis and systematic review management. From navigating the interfaces of SPSS and RevMan to understanding their practical applications, the webinar provided a beginner-friendly yet thorough overview of these essential research tools.

Our speaker for the session was Maaz Bin Zahid, who delivered the content in a clear, practical, and engaging manner. His step-by-step explanations made it easier for participants to grasp not just the “how” but also the “why” behind using these platforms—ensuring they could apply the knowledge effectively in their own projects.

The session started promptly at 4 p.m. and maintained the same interactive structure as the previous webinars, with a dynamic chat box open for questions, insights, and real-time exchanges. It was also streamed live on YouTube, allowing a wider audience of aspiring researchers to join in and benefit from the discussion.

The fourth session of the Foundation of Research: A Beginner’s Pathway series was held on the 7th of August, 2025, continuing the momentum of our educational journey into the world of research.

The topic for tofay was: “Collecting the Right Data: Surveys, Tools & Best Practices”, this session focused on one of the most crucial elements of research—data collection. From designing effective surveys to choosing the right tools and understanding the best practices, the webinar offered a comprehensive guide tailored especially for beginners.

Our speakers for the session were Arshmaan Jawad and Wadana Zafar, who shared their expertise in a practical, easy-to-understand manner. Their insights helped demystify the process of gathering reliable, valid, and meaningful data—laying a strong foundation for participants as they plan and conduct their own research projects.

The session started promptly at 4 p.m. and followed the same interactive format as the previous webinars, with a lively chat box open for questions, reflections, and real-time engagement. It was also streamed live on YouTube, ensuring that even more aspiring researchers could benefit from the discussion.

The third session of the Foundation of Research: A Beginner’s Pathway series was successfully conducted on 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

The topic was "𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲", aiming to simplify two key steps in the research process — writing a clear, structured proposal and obtaining ethical approval.

Our speakers — 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵, 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮, and 𝗔𝗻𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗔𝘇𝗵𝗮𝗿 — shared beginner-friendly insights and practical tips that participants can apply directly to their own research.

From ideas to impact — one session at a time.

On 3rd August, 2025, Research Cell-KMC and SRC KMC successfully conducted the second session of Foundation of Research Module series. The session was led by Mohammad Awais, a final-year medical student and mentor, who delivered an insightful and practical talk on “Crafting a Research Idea: From Topic to Question.” His guidance helped participants understand how to move from a broad research interest to a well-defined and focused research question.

This session was honored by the presence of Dr. Jehan Hassan, Chairperson SRC, whose attendance added immense value to the session. The event was streamed live on YouTube, allowing wider accessibility and reach. It was also an interactive session, with the chat box open throughout, enabling participants to ask questions in real-time and engage directly with the speaker.

The positive response and active participation made this session a remarkable success. With two impactful sessions now completed, SRC KMC is excited to carry this momentum forward into the upcoming sessions in the series.

𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀!

On 1st August, 2025, The Foundation of Research: A beginners pathway series began with an insightful session on 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 titled: “Getting started: What is research and why it matters?”, led by Mohammad Ahmad (Final Year MBBS, SRC Mentor). He explained the basics with clarity and depth — making it an ideal start for those new to the field.

SRC KMC was privileged to be joined by Associate Dean Research, Prof. Dr Iqbal Haidar, Dr. Jehan Hassan, chairperson SRC and Dr. Suleiman Elahi, Asst. Associate Dean Research, whose presence and insights added great value to this academic session.

The session saw active participation on Zoom and was also 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲, where viewers joined the conversation and shared their reflections in real time.

Virtual Clinical Rounds – Inaugural Session Successfully Held!

The inaugural session of Virtual Clinical Rounds was successfully conducted, beginning with an opening address by Dean KMC, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Aurangzeb whose presence and encouraging words set a strong tone for the event.

Dr. Nayab presented on “Hepatitis B in the 21st Century: Therapeutic Breakthroughs and Clinical Strategies.”

We were honored to host a panel of distinguished experts:
