پاکستان میں منہ کا کینسر تیزی سے پھیل رہا ہے۔ ایک نئی تحقیق میں اس کی بڑی وجہ نسوار، پان، گٹکا اور سپاری جیسی چبانے والی تمباکو مصنوعات قرار دی گئی ہیں۔ شوکت خانم ہسپتال اور جی سی یونیورسٹی لاہور کی مشترکہ تحقیق کے مطابق یہ کینسر ملک میں دوسرا بڑا اور مردوں میں سب سے عام کینسر بن چکا ہے۔ تحقیق میں 688 افراد کو شامل کیا گیا۔ ماہرین نے زور دیا ہے کہ فوری طور پر عوامی آگاہی، ابتدائی سکریننگ اور نسوار، پان و گٹکا پر سخت ضابطے نافذ کیے جائیں ورنہ منہ کے کینسر کا بوجھ مزید بڑھے گا۔

تپ دق (ٹی بی) کیا ہے؟

تپ دق، جسے عام طور پر ٹی بی کہا جاتا ہے، ایک سنگین پھیپھڑوں کی بیماری ہے جو بیکٹیریا کی وجہ سے ہوتی ہے۔ یہ بیماری ہوا کے ذریعے ایک شخص سے دوسرے شخص میں پھیل سکتی ہے، خاص طور پر جب مریض کھانستا یا چھینکتا ہے۔

علامات:

مسلسل کھانسی (دو ہفتوں سے زیادہ)

بلغم کے ساتھ خون آنا

بخار اور رات کو پسینہ آنا

وزن میں غیر معمولی کمی

سینے میں درد یا سانس لینے میں دشواری

ٹی بی کیسے پھیلتی ہے؟
ٹی بی کا بیکٹیریا ہوا کے ذریعے پھیلتا ہے جب متاثرہ شخص کھانستا، چھینکتا یا بات کرتا ہے۔ اگر کوئی دوسرا شخص یہ جراثیم سانس کے ذریعے اندر لے تو وہ بھی متاثر ہو سکتا ہے۔

علاج:
ٹی بی قابلِ علاج ہے، علاج کی مدت 6 ماہ تک ہے۔ مریض کو مکمل دوا کا کورس کرنا چاہیے تاکہ بیماری مکمل طور پر ختم ہو جائے اور دوبارہ نہ ہو۔

احتیاطی تدابیر:

کھانستے یا چھینکتے وقت منہ اور ناک کو ڈھانپیں۔

ٹی بی کے مریضوں سے دور رہیں جب تک کہ وہ مکمل طور پر صحت یاب نہ ہو جائیں۔

اپنے اردگرد کا ماحول صاف ستھرا رکھیں اور ہوا دار کمروں میں رہیں۔

Understanding Bronchiectasis 🫁

In bronchiectasis, the airways become abnormally wide, causing mucus to build up. This can lead to:

Persistent wet cough

Coughing up phlegm

While it can't be reversed, it can be managed by:

No smoking

Regular exercise

Airway clearance techniques with a chest physiotherapist
