Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) is a common language acquisition method, particularly in autistic individuals, where children learn language in chunks or phrases rather than individual words.
Most autistic children are likely gestalt language processors, however, both neurotypical and neurodivergent children can develop language this way.
This type of processing is often associated with autism but is not exclusively seen in autism.
