☘️ The University College Cork from Ireland, an official partner of the PreciseMed project, will organise the Translational Project Meeting and second Multiplier Event on November 12-14, 2025. The main organiser is Professor Shiely our project researcher from Cork.
🏰 All events will be held onsite in Cork, a picteresque city in the southern part of Ireland. The partner University will jointly host these events with the HRB TMRN (Health Research Board Trials Methodology Research Partnership). During these days, accompanying events to the Multiplier event will be organised.
📅 on the 12th of November, 2025, two workshops on inclusion in trials and pragmatic trials will be held.
📆 on the 13th of November - the Multiplier event connected with symposium will take place. The event is organised to disseminate project results. This is a large conference with 120 delegates expected. The theme of the symposium is: "Trials that matter: pragmatism, inclusion and informativeness in health research".
🧪Mrs. Anna Michalska, PhD on behalf of the PreciseMed TEAM, is presenting a presentation entitled: "Biobanks at the bedside: Enabling inclusive, informative trials through real-world sample collection and data linkageon".
📈 on the 14th of November, 2025, the Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) will be held. This is a closed event, only for project team. Discussions about project implementation progress, management issues and promotion and dissemination matters are planned.
💭 Beside of representatives of the UCC, project team members from Uniwersytet Medyczny w Białymstoku (Project Coordinator - Bauer) as well as researchers from
will take part in the above-mentioned events.

🚅 We are approaching the halfway point of the PreciseMed project.
🧬 PreciseMed is a project under the Erasmus+ programme (Action 2, Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education) implemented by the Uniwersytet Medyczny w Białymstoku together with two partners: University College Cork (Ireland) and the Hungarian biotechnology company .
📈 The aim of the initiative is to strengthen competences in the field of precision medicine through the following activities:
🔸 improving the curriculum on precision medicine at the basic and advanced levels
🔸 a dedicated Teacher's Guide will be created on the basis of the curriculum to support teachers in preparing even better for teaching
🔸 a modern e-learning platform will be created, where the developed materials will be available
📜 So far, we have already completed, among other things:
🔸 a dissemination meeting (No. 1) organised by our Hungarian partner in Pécs
🔸 kick-off meeting and 3 working meetings from the Transnational Project Meetings series (in Poland, Hungary and online)
🔸 the first modules were created: in the field of precision medicine and genomics,
🔸 we launched the project website - www.precisemed.eu and e-learning platform - https://lnkd.in/dNqhvjrU
📌 Why is this important?
🔸 we will prepare future doctors and scientists to work with NGS technologies
🔸 we will support lecturers by providing them with educational tools and materials-this is a real improvement in the quality of teaching
🔸 we will build an interdisciplinary educational environment that responds to the needs of the labour market and health challenges
📅 What are our plans?
🔸 uploading all developed courses available on the e-learning platform - in the so-called open access system
🔸 we will carry out pilotage at the partner universities
🔸 further networking events, including the Multiplier Event in Cork (Ireland).

🧬Na co dzień w PreciseMed pochylamy się nad przyszłością medycyny - w sterylnych korytarzach toczymy burze mózgów i projektujemy nowe, odważne sposoby kształcenia kolejnych pokoleń medyków. Po pracy zwijamy jednak fartuchy🥼, zamieniamy pipety na klucze nasadowe 🔧 i pakujemy gaśnicę🧯, gotowi ubrudzić ręce smarem zamiast atramentem ✒️ notatek.
🌍 Jeśli zdarzy się Wam tego lata usłyszeć o starym, blaszanym UAZ-ie 452 – potocznie „Buchance” – sunącym przez Europę niczym wehikuł z innej epoki, to całkiem możliwe, że to właśnie my, wraz z załogą GoApps Expedition, zmierzamy na południe w tegorocznej edycji rajdu Złombol.
W tym roku celem naszej wyprawy jest Giresun w Turcji, malownicze miasto nad Morzem Czarnym. Trasa z Białegostoku do Giresun to około 3500 km w jedną stronę, co czyni tę podróż nie lada wyzwaniem. Uczestnictwo w wyprawie będzie idealną okazją do promowania idei projektu PreciseMed.

👏 Another crucial milestone has been achieved 🥇. Our hungarian partner institution hosted the first Multiplier Event (ME) aimed at 📣 disseminating early PreciseMed project results and engaging key stakeholders in precision medicine education🧬. The event was attended by representatives of the project coordinator Medical University of Bialystok- Witold Bauer, PhD and Anna Michalska-Falkowska, PhD as well as representatives of the partner institutions: University College Cork- Frances Shiely and , among others, by Robert Herczeg (PhD), Dudas Robert, Bence Gálik, Daniel Schmalz, József Kun.
🤝 During the ME, participants knew the project’s objectives, structure, and initial progress on the development of a multi-tier, open-access curriculum covering basic and advanced modules on genomic testing and precision medicine🧬.
👁️‍🗨️ The event saw attendance far exceeding expectations, bringing together a diverse group of over 40 participants including university faculty, medical students, healthcare professionals, and visiting experts from Hungary as well as from Poland, Ireland, Italy, Czech Republic, Norway, and Ukraine.
🔌 Attendees actively engaged throughout the session, making use of the opportunity to interact with presenters and project representatives.
📈 Moreover, the Transnational Project Meeting No 3. took place on May 6-7 in Pecs. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange information within the project team about the work progress in the PreciseMed project.

Nasza węgierska instytucja partnerska była gospodarzem pierwszego Multiplier Event (ME) mającego na celu 📣 rozpowszechnianie pierwszych wyników projektu PreciseMedi zaangażowanie kluczowych interesariuszy w edukację w zakresie medycyny precyzyjnej🧬. W wydarzeniu wzięli udział przedstawiciele koordynatora projektu Uniwersytet Medyczny w Białymstoku- dr Witold Bauer i dr Anna Michalska-Falkowska a także przedstawiciele instytucji partnerskich: University College Cork- Frances Shiely oraz - Robert Herczeg (PhD), Dudas Robert, Bence Gálik, Daniel Schmalz, József Kun.
🤝Podczas ME, uczestnicy zapoznali się z celami projektu, jego strukturą i wstępnymi postępami w opracowywaniu wielopoziomowego, ogólnodostępnego programu nauczania obejmującego moduły dot. badań genomicznych i medycyny precyzyjnej🧬.
👁️‍🗨️ Liczba uczestników przekroczyła 40 osób, a wśród nich wykładowcy akademiccy, studenci medycyny, pracownicy służby zdrowia i eksperci z Węgier oraz Polski, Irlandii, Włoch, Czech, Norwegii i Ukrainy.
🔌Uczestnicy aktywnie angażowali się podczas całej sesji, korzystając z okazji do interakcji z prelegentami.
📈 Ponadto w dniach 6-7 maja w Peczu odbyło się TPM3. Spotkanie było okazją do wymiany informacji w ramach zespołu projektowego na temat postępu prac w projekcie PreciseMed

This time, Sylwia Klepacka, project manager, obtained the internationally recognised certificate in risk management - by . The prerequisite for this certificate is participation in a 3-day training course and achieving at least 50% on the competency exam.
Risk management knowledge and skills are essential during any project, including our PreciseMed.

📊 Zespół realizujący projekt PreciseMed nieustannie podnosi swoje kompetencje. Tym razem, Sylwia Klepacka - menadżerka projektu uzyskała uznany na świecie certyfikat z zakresu zarządzania ryzykiem - hasztag by PeopleCert. Warunkiem uzyskania tego certyfikatu jest udział w 3-dniowym szkoleniu i uzyskanie co najmniej 50% na egzaminie sprawdzającym nabycie kompetencji. Wiedza i umiejętności w zakresie zarządzania ryzykiem są niezbędne w trakcie realizacji każdego projektu, także w przypadku PreciseMed.

👁️‍🗨️ The PreciseMed project team, headed by project coordinator Witold Bauer (PhD) and project manager Sylwia Klepacka, carries out continuous monitoring of the project, including in particular the progress of substantive work, expenditure of funds and compliance with the timetable.
🤝 In order to summarise the progress of the project, an online meeting was organised with the participation of 12 members of the Project Team from all partner institutions: Medical University of Bialystok (project coordinator) and University College Cork and . The meeting took place on 26 March 2025.
📈 During the meeting, the progress of work packages 1-5 was discussed. Particular attention was paid to the issues of package no. 1 - the action plan for 2025 was presented, package no. 2, concerning the creation of curricula (curriculum) and work package no. 5 concerning the promotion and dissemination of the project results. The meeting also discussed the conclusions of the approved first progress report.
📣 The first Multiplier Event, a meeting to disseminate the results and achievements of the project, will take place in May 2025. It will be organised by the Hungarian partner ibioScience. Two more multiplier events are planned for 2026 and 2027, in Ireland (UCC) and Bialystok (MUB) respectively. The Bialystok event will also provide an opportunity to summarise the implementation of the entire project.

🤝W celu podsumowania postępu prac w projekcie zorganizowano spotkanie online z udziałem 12 członków Zespołu Projektowego ze wszystkich instytucji partnerskich: Uniwersytet Medyczny w Białymstoku (lidera projektu) oraz University College Cork i firmy iBioScience. Spotkanie odbyło się 26 marca 2025 r.
📈 Podczas spotkania omówiono postęp prac w ramach pakietów 1-5. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono kwestiom pakietu nr 1 - przedstawiono plan działań na 2025 r., pakietu nr 2, dotyczącego stworzenia programów nauczania (curriculum) oraz pakietu prac nr 5 dotyczącego promocji i upowszechniania rezultatów projektu. W trakcie spotkania omówiono także wnioski wynikające z zatwierdzonego pierwszego raportu z postępu prac (progress report).
📣Już w maju 2025 r. odbędzie się pierwszy Multiplier Event, czyli spotkanie upowszechniające rezultaty i osiągniecia projektu. Będzie on zorganizowany przez węgierskiego partnera - firmę ibioScience. W roku 2026 i 2027 planowane są jeszcze dwa multiplier events, odpowiednio w Irlandii (UCC) i w Białymstoku (UMB).

🧨 Members of the PreciseMed project team - Sylwia Klepacka (project manager) and Jakub Wszeborowski (specialist in promotion and dissemination of project results) organised a kick-off meeting of the new project with the acronym . The project will allow the Medical University of Bialystok to become more widely known in the Eunice European University. The meeting was attended by representatives of NAWA Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej (Piotr Kępski and Paweł Skubida) and Politechnika Poznańska - the official partner of the project.
🧬 The meeting was also an opportunity, among other things, to present the project potential of UMB, including the PreciseMed project, which is an international initiative aimed at developing innovative curricula in the field of .
📣 Valuable contacts were made in the European academic community, which will allow for wider promotion of the PreciseMed project.

🔬 PreciseMed Project Coordinator - Witold Bauer - researcher from the Uniwersytet Medyczny w Białymstoku participated in a fruitful meeting with the representatives of Politechnika Poznańska, which is the only Polish University that leads the European alliance, more precisily Eunice European University.
🤝 Thanks to Marta Malepszak and Mariusz Głąbowski for substantive conversations and your warm welcome! Apart from Witold Bauer, the meeting was attended by Sylwia Klepacka - PreciseMed Project Manager responsible for administrative issues.
📈 The meeting was a great opportunity to present assumptions and results of the PreciseMed project and exchange views and opinions about activities connected with curriculum development.
📣 According to our Communication and Dissemination Strategy adopted during the Transnational Project Meeting II on October 9, these kind of activities are very important to improve visibility of the PreciseMed.

👩‍🏫 The second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM2) of the “Precision Medicine Education for Clinical Implementation and Science Excellence in Medical Training” (PreciseMed), implemented as part of the activities of the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships for Higher Education is behind us.

💻The online meeting, organised by the Medical University of Bialystok took place on October 9, 2024 and was attended by the representatives of the esteemed 🇮🇪 Irish university University College Cork and the innovative Hungarian🇭🇺 biotechnology company .

The main points of the meeting were:
📈 presentation of the progress already made, with the identification of possible solutions and the arrangement of the materials developed;
🔎 review of the overall progress of the work packages;
💬 adoption of the project's Communication and Dissemination Strategy.

🤝 The TPM2 was an opportunity to exchange information regarding the work in the project's assigned groups. Additionally, plans for the coming weeks were discussed and the next Transnational Project Meeting was planned.

👩‍🏫 Za nami drugie spotkanie w ramach projektu „Precision Medicine Education for Clinical Implementation and Science Excellence in Medical Training” (PreciseMed), realizowanego w ramach działań z akcji Partnerstw Współpracy dla szkolnictwa wyższego w ramach programu Erasmus+.

💻Spotkanie online, którego gospodarzem był Uniwersytet Medyczny w Białymstoku, odbyło się 9 października 2024 r. W spotkaniu wzięli udział przedstawiciele cenionej irlandzkiej🇮🇪 uczelni University College Cork oraz innowacyjnej węgierskiej🇭🇺 firmy biotechnologicznej .

Głównymi punktami spotkania były:

🤝 Spotkanie TPM2 było okazją do wymiany informacji dotyczących prac w grupach roboczych projektu. Omówiono również plany na najbliższe tygodnie oraz zaplanowano kolejne spotkanie z serii TPM.

📍 is the process of collecting, storing, and managing biological samples, such as blood, tissues, and DNA, for research purposes. Providing high-quality, well-preserved samples allows researchers to study the genetic and molecular characteristics of diseases.

🔬 Biobanking allows for a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and supports the discovery of new biomarkers and innovative treatments. This is inextricably linked to hasztag , which aims at searching optimal solutions to improve patient treatment outcomes and development of the healthcare system.

🏥 In the Biobank of the Medical University of Bialystok, which belongs to the project coordinator PreciseMed, many activities are implemented to support medical research by providing high-quality biological material. Stocked with nearly 2,500 samples obtained from oncology patients, the 's oncology collection at the Medical University of Bialystok plays a key role in making breakthroughs in , which is the focus of the PreciseMed project.
