🏃🏽♀️MUSCLE FORCES DURING RUNNING🏃🏻♂️
Great post as always by running expert Aidan O'Flaherty, :
"• Running is one of the most popular activities worldwide, with significant health benefits. However, injury rates are high with reports of 19% to 78% incidence (Barton et al, 2018).
• While the cause of running injuries are multifactorial, the high loads placed on the body have been linked to the development of a running-related injury.
• Our bodies are incredible and can tolerate these high demands. We need to ensure we give our bodies time to adapt to these loads and ensure we condition these muscle groups to meet these high load demands.
• This is a good one to save and share to other runners☘️
