Intensive days, the stay in Nanjing, China at the invitation of Prof. Xingquam Xu and Prof. Qing Jiang from Nijang Drum Tower Hospital was very rich in experiences. This wonderful 9 million city, rich in architecture, culture enchanted me. The stay in the Clinic and the opportunity to share experience in the treatment of knee joint instability and meniscus treatment, I think, is the beginning of a great cooperation between our centers. I thank my hosts once again for the wonderful reception.

Patellar cartilage damage doesn't occur spontaneously in the absence of trauma.
While dislocations or direct injuries can certainly be causes, anterior knee pain without any reported trauma is a common clinical scenario.
In our previous publication (https://lnkd.in/d5JTFKqw), we presented the underlying cause of such cartilage lesions.
Now, in our latest work (https://lnkd.in/dKC-3VgS), we focus on treatment: cartilage reconstruction using the technique, combined with eliminating the mechanical cause of patellofemoral cartilage damage.
Stay tuned — more papers in this series are coming, each exploring different surgical techniques for restoring knee joint health and function.

It was a special last week, just before Easter, 2 days of intensive course in London as part of the arthroscopy school. Thanks to this program of education of young doctors, orthopedists, we can implement a sports traumatology training program in several countries in Europe and Asia. Now a course in meniscus surgery techniques and a course in the treatment of instability with reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament ACL, gave the opportunity to develop 30 participants and of course us, the faculty, exchange views

Deep ankle pain is very often associated with damage to the cartilage with the subchondral layer. Treatment consists of reconstructing the joint surface. This reconstruction can be performed arthroscopically!

ACL injury in young patients very often involves avulsion of the tibial attachment. In a 3rd degree injury, complete separation of the bone fragment requires stabilization. It is best to perform this procedure arthroscopically and so that there is no need for a second procedure.

NAVIGATING THE COMPLEXITIES OF ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT RECONSTRUCTION

In cases where anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction does not stabilize the knee joint—especially following partial meniscectomy, which is unfortunately common—physicians and patients face a challenging situation.
Performing revision ACL reconstruction using a graft from the re**us femoris muscle, along with lateral tenodesis, has become a standard approach in these complex cases.
In the presented case, we also employed an autologous graft from the iliotibial band to stabilize the root and posterior portion of the meniscus. This modification allows for the reconstruction of the meniscus and helps restore its original shape.
It's crucial that we do everything possible to preserve the meniscus in young individuals, as it plays a vital role in providing stability and protecting cartilage.
Sharing insights and experiences on this topic can help us collectively enhance patient outcomes. What strategies have you found effective in managing these challenging situations?

Co za spotkanie !!! Warsztaty!!! Wykłady!!! Operacje na żywo!!! Sam prezentowałem rekonstrukcję więzadła krzyżowego przedniego technika ribbon - uważam , że najbardziej odtwarzająca więzadło rekonstrukcja. Wysoki poziom wykładów, operacji, jedno z najlepszych spotkań w jakich uczestniczyłem

Exchange of views, listening to someone's lectures always pays off. One day I listened to a lecture by my colleague Dr Urszula Zdanowicz, who together with her colleagues presented the problem of meniscus instability caused by the torn meniscal-fibular ligament she described. The patient after 3 surgeries, constantly with a feeling of jumping deep in the knee on the lateral side, finally got a solution. Thanks to Ula's inspiration, I found with my friend Jakub Naczk a solution to stabilize the meniscus, which you will see in the film. Reconstruction, strengthening the connection between the posterior part of the lateral meniscus and the fibula solved the problem. How worth looking for to help our patients!!!

It was an amazing time! The 10th International Curse on how to reconstruct cartilage of the knee and ankle joint , + and with the use of biological support of the collagen membrane took place in Poznań under the patronage of the Company. As Chairman, I would like to thank all lecturers Justus Gille Agnieszka Prusińska , Paweł Bąkowski, MD PhD Jakub Naczk, Rehasport, Stephan Wirth, MD Sebastian Altenberger Markus Walther , organizers Geistlich , Evelyne Hasler, Arpad Kassa, Steven Kramer and POZNAŃ LAB Instytut Medycyny Praktycznej. It was, as always, an exceptional meeting, a large dose of science and the presence of so many people from different corners of the world, an invaluable exchange of knowledge. I am glad that my hometown could host you and show you its unforgettable charms

Od lat dbamy o zdrowie zawodników i zawodniczek, a teraz także sztabu trenerskiego naszej reprezentacji 🇵🇱

W ostatnich dniach w szpitalu Rehasport gościliśmy trenera żeńskiej kadry Handball Polska, Arne Senstad, który przeszedł operację kolana u dr hab. Tomasz Piontek 👨‍⚕️

Nie zabrakło również wizyty naszego fizjoterapeuty, Michała Bartkowiaka, członka sztabu medycznego reprezentacji, który pracował nad powrotem do sportu m.in. Moniki Kobylińskiej.

🤝 Współpraca z reprezentacją to przykład, jak połączenie wiedzy i doświadczenia naszych specjalistów wspiera sport na najwyższym poziomie.
