Zapraszamy już jutro o 12:00
🇬🇧🔽 1 sierpnia o godz. 12.00 społeczność UW odda hołd Powstańcom Warszawskim. W szczególny sposób uczcimy pamięć żołnierzy Grupy Bojowej „KRYBAR”, która w czasie Powstania walczyła o teren uniwersytetu.
81 lat temu kampus główny przy Krakowskim Przedmieściu ze względu na swoje strategiczne położenie był miejscem zaciętych walk. W dniu wybuchu Powstania Warszawskiego znajdował się w rękach okupanta i stanowił niemiecką twierdzę. VIII Zgrupowanie I Rejonu I Obwodu AK Warszawa-Śródmieście, nazywane „Krybarem”, podjęło trzy próby jego odbicia – 1 i 23 sierpnia oraz 2 września.
1 sierpnia, jak co roku, Uniwersytet Warszawski wraz ze Środowiskiem Grupy Bojowej „KRYBAR” Światowego Związku Żołnierzy Armii Krajowej organizuje uroczystość upamiętniającą Bohaterów tamtych wydarzeń. Wezmą w niej udział Powstańcy. Niech nasza obecność będzie wyrazem pamięci i wdzięczności.
Spotkamy się w samo południe przy tablicy poświęconej żołnierzom AK z grupy "KRYBAR", w uliczce za Bramą Główną UW, przy ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28. Wraz z Chórem Akademickim UW zaśpiewamy pieśni powstańcze.

🇬🇧 On August 1 at 12:00 noon, the UW community will pay tribute to the Warsaw Uprising insurgents. In a special way, we will honor the memory of the soldiers of the “KRYBAR” Combat Group, who fought for the university grounds during the Uprising.
81 years ago, due to its strategic location, the University’s main campus on Krakowskie Przedmieście was the site of fierce fighting. On the day the Warsaw Uprising broke out, it was under German control and served as a heavily fortified stronghold. The 8th Battalion of the 1st Region of the 1st District of the Home Army’s Warsaw-Śródmieście area, known as “KRYBAR”, made three courageous attempts to recapture the campus — on August 1, August 23, and September 2.
As every year, on August 1, the University of Warsaw, together with the “KRYBAR” Combat Group community of the World Association of Home Army Soldiers, will hold a ceremony in memory of the Heroes of those events. Insurgents will be present. Let our presence be a sign of remembrance and gratitude.
We will gather at noon by the plaque commemorating the Home Army soldiers of the "KRYBAR" group, in the lane behind the University’s Main Gate, at 26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście. Together with the University of Warsaw Choir, we will sing songs of the Uprising.
