This year’s European Congress of Cardiology was a true scientific feast: 10 Hot Line sessions packed with cutting-edge science and the release of over 40 pivotal clinical trials.
New data have enriched nearly every corner of cardiology, and new clinical guidelines have put data into actionable recommendations.
Having the privilege to work at the Digital Cardiology and AI ESC Committee, I was very pleased with a plethora of sessions dedicated to the implementation of AI in various subspecialties.
It’s incredible how often we as physicians are supported with AI in our daily duties.
Moreover, as a huge fan of imaging - both intravascular and non-invasive - I was genuinely delighted with recent developments in this field, i.e. CT-derived physionly, deep plaque analysis, PVAT assessment, CT-guided PCI, AI capabilities in OCT/deepOCT/ HD IVUS/NIRS, intracardiac echocardiography.
My impression is one: We can see much more while being more gentle and refined.
Still next ESC Congress!
