"The use of cysteamine as a hyperpigmentation brightening agent in Indonesian women"

There are many depigmenting preparations available on the cosmetic market, which often cause side effects such as dry skin, flaking, redness or burning. Intensive research is being conducted on substances with comparable efficacy but a better tolerability profile. One such substance is cysteamine. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of combining 2.5% cysteamine with 2% Galactomyces ferment filtrate, 2% Saccharomyces ferment filtrate, 2% saccharide isomerate and 4% niacinamide. The study was conducted using a dualapplication technique of serum and cream with a brightening effect on facial hyperpigmentation among women in Indonesia. An open-label pre-post-test clinical trial was used. After six weeks of treatment, there was a significant decrease in the melanin index of the study participants. The use of cysteamine serum and cream appears to be a promising approach for treating hyperpigmentation disorders on the face.

"Anti-aging properties of extracts from Ziziphus mauritiana leaves. A comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis"

With growing awareness of the transformations occurring in the body due to aging, these changes have become the subject of research by many scientists. Attempts are being made to halt this process naturally, using the potential of various herbs. This study aimed to present the potency of extracts from the leaves of the plant Ziziphus mauritiana as an anti-aging agent, by its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. A systematic review and meta-analysis were performed using the PRISMA guidelines based on studies retrieved from PubMed, Science Direct, and the Cochrane Library that met the inclusion criteria up to March 2025. Variables, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties, were extracted and then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The study demonstrated the potential of Ziziphus mauritiana leaf extract to increase endogenous antioxidants, inhibit inflammation, increase collagen density, elasticity, hydration, and skin brightness, and reduce sebum levels, erythema, fibroblast numbers, and improve wound healing.

"Changes in the appearance of the skin and its appendages in women during menopause"

During menopause, women experience various changes in the appearance of their skin and its appendages, such as hair and nails. These alterations are a direct result of a decrease in estrogen and other hormone levels, which significantly affects the functioning of the skin as a protective, sensory, and metabolic organ. Reduced hormonal activity decreases the synthesis of key structural proteins such as collagen and elastin, resulting in a loss of firmness, elasticity, and overall deterioration of the skin’s structure.
This study aimed to present the physiological and aesthetic changes occurring in female bodies during menopause, with particular emphasis on their impact on the condition of the skin, hair, and nails.
Although these processes are inevitable and progressive, proper hormonal balance and appropriate skin care can significantly delay skin aging and maintain its healthy appearance.

"Resveratrol as a multifunctional bioactive compound"

Resveratrol is a natural polyphenol found mainly in grape skins, red wine, berries and peanuts. It exhibits a wide range of biological activity, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, neuroprotective and cardioprotective properties.
The article aimed to analyse scientific research focusing on the current state of knowledge on the molecular mechanisms of action of resveratrol, its bioavailability and potential in the treatment of lifestyle diseases, wound healing and skin protection against damage caused by ultraviolet radiation. In addition, the role of resveratrol in the treatment of diabetes, neurodegenerative diseases and cardiovascular diseases was discussed.
In light of the collected data, resveratrol appears to be a promising therapeutic and cosmetic ingredient with multidirectional biological activity. Current limitations in the clinical use of resveratrol are mainly related to its low bioavailability.

OBIADY CZWARTKOWE 🧐🧬

"Polydeoxyribonucleotides – the future of regenerative medicine"

Polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN) are fragments of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) obtained from fish s***m. They have the ability to stimulate angiogenesis, i.e., the formation of new blood vessels.
The article aimed to present the current state of knowledge of the potential use of PDRN in regenerative and aesthetic medicine. Their mechanisms of action were discussed, including their ability to stimulate angiogenesis, collagen synthesis, and anti-inflammatory effects.
The results of the latest scientific research indicate the effectiveness of PDRN in anti-aging treatments, scars, stretch marks, and hair loss. However, this requires further long-term clinical analyses to fully determine the safety and effectiveness of the therapies used.

"Current advances in understanding the mechanisms of skin photoaging and photoprotection strategies"

Photoaging of the skin is one of the key challenges in modern dermatology and cosmetology.
This article aimed to present the latest trends in sun protection. Selected aspects of photoprotection were discussed, ranging from the role of natural cosmetic ingredients to through new scientific reports on the effects of various types of radiation on the skin, to the personalisation of sunscreen products. The impact of protective preparations on the skin microbiome and the latest achievements in cosmetic formulations were also presented.
In recent years, significant progress has been made in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying this process, which has contributed to the development of innovative photoprotection strategies. These are crucial for maintaining healthy and youthful-looking skin in the face of increasing exposure to harmful environmental factors (including solar radiation and air pollution).
