"The role of a cosmetologist in the education of people with psoriasis"

Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory, and non-contagious skin condition that extends beyond physical symptoms, significantly impacting the quality of life and daily functioning of those affected. The complex nature of the condition, its unpredictable course, and the risk of social stigma contribute to a high demand for reliable information.
This study aimed to analyse the most important information needs of people with psoriasis and to define the role of the cosmetologist in educational support and in addressing the psychosocial consequences of the condition.
The limited time available for dermatological consultations means that the role of other specialists, including cosmetologists, is growing. An important element of comprehensive cosmetological care is educating clients on the importance of daily self-care, with particular emphasis on proper care of the skin barrier, diet, and lifestyle.

"Vaginal injections of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid for the relief of vaginal dryness symptoms. A case series"

Introduction: Vaginal dryness and trophic disorders are a common, underreported problem that decreases quality of life. Standard treatments, such as lubricants, moisturizing products, or hormone therapies, do not always produce the desired results or may be contraindicated.
Aim: This study aimed to present the results of a pilot clinical observation regarding intravaginal injections of high-molecular-weight non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid in women with severe symptoms of vaginal mucosal and vestibular dryness.
Materials and methods: Five women with severe symptoms of dryness, itching, burning, and pain during in*******se received a single submucosal injection of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid (1.6% or 2.2%). The results were evaluated after four weeks. The analysis included self-assessment, medical evaluation of trophic condition, peri-procedural sensations on an 11-point numerical intensity scale (0–10), and treatment safety.
Results: A rapid, clinically significant improvement was observed: the mean self-assessment of lubrication increased from 4.2 to 8.8/10, and itching, burning, and pain during in*******se resolved completely after just one week. A gynecological examination revealed normalization of tissue condition in all areas.
Conclusions: The results are consistent with the mechanism of action of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and suggest a potential minimally invasive alternative for women who cannot undergo or do not accept hormonal therapy.

"The impact of diet and nutricosmetics on the condition of the skin, hair, and nails in women and men"

Introduction: Adverse changes in the skin and its appendages are associated with the aging process and depend on a diet, hydration, and the use of nutricosmetics.
Objective: This study aimed to analyze the opinions of women and men regarding the impact of food products and nutricosmetics on the condition of the skin, hair, and nails.
Materials and methods: A survey was conducted in 2025 at beauty salons among 40 women and 36 men. The respondents were grouped by age, gender, and body mass index.
Results: Nearly all respondents expressed the belief that diet and the use of nutricosmetics have a positive effect on the condition of their skin, hair, and nails.
Conclusions: The condition of the skin and its appendages is closely linked to nutrition. A proper, balanced diet has a significant impact on the health of the entire body.
