"The effect of lifting massage on the condition of mature skin. Case study"
Introduction: Traditional Japanese massage is a technique combining elements of deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage, and acupressure. It is a promising alternative to invasive rejuvenation procedures.
Aim: The study aimed to evaluate the potential impact of a lifting massage on the condition of mature skin. In particular, the study focused on the visibility of wrinkles, improvement in the appearance of nasolabial folds, and overall skin aesthetics in a single case study.
Materials and methods: A case study was conducted on a 49-year-old woman with type III aging according to the Glogau scale. Five treatments were performed at weekly intervals. The effects were assessed using the WSRS and GAIS scales and an online questionnaire.
Results: The analysis showed a statistically significant improvement in all evaluated parameters after a series of five lifting massage treatments with elements of Kobido techniques.
Conclusions: Lifting massage can reduce the signs of aging in mature skin. Further studies on larger groups are recommended.
