We had an incredible time in our Mindfulness & Chair Yoga class yesterday! Here’s a snapshot of our day:
🌀 Breath Focus: We made breathing exercises fun using Blowing Pipe Toys to help visualize our breath!
📖 Story Time: We read "Meesha Makes Friends" by Tom Percival, a delightful book that helps children navigate social situations and build connections. This heartwarming story explores the joys and challenges of making and maintaining friendships.
🎨 Seeds of Kindness: The kids planted seeds and learned the importance of nurturing their minds with daily mindfulness practices. Their plant serves as a reminder to care for their mental well-being, just like they care for their physical health.
🧘♂️ Yoga Twist: We had lots of fun with playful Yoga and Chair Yoga poses to keep the energy high and spirits bright!
😊 Feelings Exploration: We explored different feelings, helping kids understand and express their emotions, especially when facing social challenges or anxiety.
🧘 Mindfulness Meditation: We practiced the "Seed of Kindness" child-friendly meditation, guiding kids to find calmness, focus on the present, and appreciate the magic of kindness.
🎲 Memory Game: The kids enjoyed our "Monsters Go Away!" memory game – it was a huge hit!
