Bone marrow transplantation much more than haematopoietic tissue reconstion We are pleased to invite you to our conference Bone marrow transplantation – much more than haemot Andrzej Lange, MD, FRCP (London), Dr med Sci, Professor

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We are pleased to invite you to our conference Bone marrow transplantation – much more than haemotopoietic tissue reconstitution, organized, as we are used to do, sequentially in two years intervals. This year the conference event coincides with the 30th anniversary of first transplantation at the Lower Silesian Centre for Cellular Transplantation and National Bone Marrow Donor Registry. The conference is scheduled to hold from 18th to 20th December 2017. The Conference will be focused on the following themes:

The best of the Lower Silesian Centre for Cellular Transplantation and National Bone Marrow Donor Registry: Present and former colleagues and co-workers – who contributed to our efforts in breaking new path in medicine – will give a talk on their achievements and work in progress. Stem cell characteristics
Allogeneic stem cell transplantation
Tissue regeneration:

√ neovascularisation potential of marrow cells

√ anti-inflammatory and suppressive activity of marrow derived MSC

√ stem cells’ potential to regenerate the central nervous system

√ organ reconstruction – work in progress

On the last day we are going to set up some workshops on stem cell culturing for clinical use. All interested researchers are invited to register in advance depicting their interest in some areas of the laboratory work. We hope that you are going to take a part in our conference and share this pleasure with us.

1. Propagation of bone marrow cells toward mesenchymal stem cells. The activity of attendees includes direct observation of the processing and further enrichment in the cells of stemness cell characteristics in the semi-open system.
Leader: Agata Borowik
2. Propagation of mesenchymal stem cells to achieve the level of differentiation to osteocytes, chondrocytes and adipocytes.
Leader: Marta Groblicka
3. Bio-printing – illustration of the procedure and a seminar on it.
4. Extracorporeal photochemotherapy demonstration of the procedure.

It is a great pleasure and personal satisfaction to convey to you our cordial invitation to attend the 11th International Conference, which this year deals with the issue of the complex biology of versatile stem cells settled in the bone marrow. This is reflected by the title of the conference: Bone marrow transplantation – much more than haematopoietic tissue reconstitution.
For the organizers the conference also has a very personal aspect coinciding in time with the 30th anniversary of the first bone marrow transplantation performed in our institution. The organizers are very honored to have in the group of introductory lecturers among others Drs. Mohamad Mohty, Nicolaus Kroeger, Mariusz Ratajczak, Graca Almeida Porada, Rüdiger Hehlmann and Edward Scott.
For more details please visit the website http://wroclaw2017bmconference.pl/.

As you can see from our tentative program there is a room for oral presentation so I would like to invite you to send your abstract to be chosen for oral or poster presentations (see: wroclaw2017bmconference.pl.).

The organizers will facilitate your attendance of four workshops, which deal with cutting edge issues, namely propagation of bone marrow cells toward mesenchymal stem cells, differentiation of stem cells to osteoblasts, chondroblasts, and adipocytes, and the use of bioprinting for regenerative medicine.
In addition, we are planning to edit a special issue and you will be invited to send your manuscript for publication.
We will be very pleased to have you with us during the conference.
See you then in Wroclaw.
