Every year, nearly 1 in 10 babies is born prematurely or with critical health challenges that require specialized neonatal intensive care. Behind each of these tiny fighters is a family navigating uncertainty, hope, and resilience — supported by dedicated NICU teams who provide expert care and compassion.

This month, we honor the babies who have spent time in the NICU, celebrate the families who love them, and recognize the healthcare professionals who stand beside them every step of the way.

Parte de mi travesía profesional ha sido el educarme para ser la mejor profesional de la salud que yo pueda ser. Las puertas se abrieron y comencé una maestría enfocada en investigación donde he logrado enfocar mis esfuerzos en mi interés sobre el neurodesarrollo. Y este junio 6 nos graduamos con mucho entusiasmo.

ACTS 2025 Washington DC. Experiencia de aprendizaje y crecimiento. Amo que parte de mi trabajo sea viajar a presentar mis esfuerzos como investigadora a otras personas. Amo poder decir que en Puerto Rico estamos trabajando arduamente para impactar positivamente la vida de quien decidió quedarse. Mi meta es que mi trabajo ayude a cambiar nuestro sistema y provea las herramientas para que nuestros niños reciban las intervenciones que requieran y puedan tener una mejor calidad de vida.
