ABOUT THE DOCTOR:
Dr. Heileene Torres-Colberg, is the sole proprietor and medical director of MEDChic, LLC. After completing her medicine studies and then, her 3 year training of residence in Family Medicine in Puerto Rico, she was conferred with the Academic Achievement Award and was certified as Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine in 2014. She also completed her first fellowship in Maternal Child Health/Surgical Obstetrics and a second fellowship in Faculty Development; both in the city of Chicago, IL. Recently, precisely for her academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Torres-Colberg was recognized by her medical school with the 2016 Notable Alumna Award. Besides her private practice, she also maintains active medical licenses at the states of Florida, Illinois, and Ohio where she provides Telemedicine Services. For the past years she has been recognized as Medical Advisor and field Physician of the film industry for local and international movie productions, specially during the Covid 19 pandemic. Dr. Torres-Colberg is known as past president for 2 consecutive years of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Family Physicians of Puerto Rico and is former president as well of the Women's Health Society of Puerto Rico. One of her goals was to bring to Puerto Rico for the first time the course Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO), which with her team she has been offering successfully since 2019.
