With all that's happening world wide, meet
🍃Balanites aegyptica my neighbor. She has many common names including Egyptian Balsam, a native African used in the material medica both on the continent and in Arabian, Persian materia medica, she's an old old tree that shows our common bond and our sustained unity in herbal medicine. In Swahili we call her Mchunju my Senegalese student has taught me to call her Fulfulde in Pulaar. This plant is so diverse, heals everything from parasites, to increasing breast milk. The dates are delicious, the bark is used as a poison in hunting, the thorns are used for traditional tattooing.
We are living in changing times, know your medicines, have at least 10 that you use often, keep tinctures in stock, tinctures are best cause they're easy to deliver, endure harsh climates, have a long shelf life. The future is relying on the land, your community, your intuition, the ability to read the cosmos.
🍃If you receive my newsletters you have read much about this since last year.
🍃Well, human family, blessings from Africa, take time to tap in to your inner eye to guide your outer path. And hope to see some of you in West Virginia for our retreat. 🙏🏿
