Whether you are new to meditation or already experienced, this weekly circle offers gentle support for anyone wishing to deepen, refresh, or restart their practice. Meditating in community is known to strengthen commitment, inspire regularity, and make it easier to sustain a private daily practice.
Each session will open with a few gentle stretches to prepare the body, followed by a brief teaching drawn from the wisdom of great yoga masters such as Swami Sivanandaji and/or Paramahamsa Yoganandaji, or others. These simple insights highlight how meditation is nourished by our attitudes, routines, and everyday choices—reminding us that our inner life and outer life always flow together.
We will then explore a variety of meditation techniques, including mantra meditation, breath-centered practice, and contemplations that help cultivate uplifting qualities of character. This rotation allows you to discover what resonates most deeply and to develop a steady, well-rounded practice.
Additionally, each session will be gently attuned to the natural energy of the day—especially the position of the Moon, which subtly influences mood, focus, and emotional rhythm. By aligning with these natural cycles, meditation can feel more harmonious, intuitive, and supportive.
As we move toward the end of the year and the often-challenging holiday season, this circle offers a grounding space to reconnect with yourself, find steadiness, and meet life with greater clarity and ease. I look forward to welcoming you into this practice beginning December 3rd.
