At Surgical Solutions, we see ourselves as part of each patient’s support team as they start the process of regaining their health.

Lead by president Jose Alvarez, Surgical Solutions' team has been working with neurosurgeons, orthopedic doctors and other health-care professionals since 2003. We started as the BIOMET distributor for Trauma, Spine and Biologics, and our team has been awarded with several industry recognitions, like Biomet's Insignia Award, Paragon Award, and the President's Award, among others. For the last seven years we have been growing at double digits rate, to the point of having 41% of the market share as it was measured by The Millennium Research Group in June 2010. By partnering with top companies, we give local doctors access to the best surgical equipments, as well as replacement pieces and operating room accessories for orthopedics, spine surgery, intra operative monitoring, bracing and blood management. Our collaboration with physicians has a direct impact in each patient's health and quality of life. So, for the benefit of our patients, we help health care providers through our Education Center and by providing technical support at the operating room. Like many of our partners, we follow the Code of Ethics of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), which guides interactions between health care professionals and companies similar to Surgical Solutions. By doing so, we commit to AdvaMed objectives of promoting the advancement of medical technologies, enhancing the safe and effective use of such technologies, encouraging research and education, and fostering charitable donations. 🩺🧠 La apertura del programa de residencia de Neurocirugía en el Recinto de Ciencias Médicas-UPR hizo historia este año, y hoy forma parte de la serie especial “Historias y protagonistas del 2025” en El Nuevo Día, donde se reseña los sucesos que marcaron el 2025.

La rectora del RCM-UPR, Dra. Myrna L. Quiñones Feliciano, destacó:

"La apertura de este nuevo programa dio la garantía y la certeza de un futuro, la certeza de que habrá continuidad de los servicios por nuevos especialistas, nuevos médicos, y con la esperanza de que todos ellos se queden en Puerto Rico a contribuir para nuestra patria”.

La Dra. Adriana Vázquez Medina fue la primera residente en el nuevo programa de Neurocirugía.

Seguimos trabajando para ampliar y asegurar servicios de calidad para todos en Puerto Rico.

Honrados de poder contribuir al desarrollo de los futuros ortopedas de nuestra isla. Hoy tuvimos la oportunidad de brindar un taller de Fijacion Externa a los Residentes de Ortopedia de la Escuela de Medicina de Ponce.
