Israeli Occupation Forces killed nine healthcare workers on the first day of Eid, marking it the highest number killed in a single day since the execution of PRCS and civil defence crews in Rafah in March this year.
Healthcare Workers Watch (HWW) confirmed that all nine healthcare workers were murdered in Israeli attacks whilst in their residences, sheltering with their extended families in North Gaza.
At around 3 pm on Friday, June 6th, two separate attacks took place at the Al-Joroun neighbourhood in Jabalia. Airstrikes and artillery shelling targeted the homes of both the Al Batsh and the Khader families, killing a total of 52 civilians, 9 of whom were healthcare professionals.
Names and affiliation of the killed healthcare workers:
Dr. Ayda Khader, PhD: Head of Midwifery Department at the General Administration of Nursing at the Ministry of Health, Gaza.
Dr. Sultan Ramzi Khader: 5th Year medical student at Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University. He also volunteered at several North Gaza Hospitals during this genocide.
Ms. Faten Khader: Nurse at the Indonesian Hospital, North Gaza
Ms. Haneen Marwan Khader: Nurse (diploma), Kamal Adwan Hospital, North Gaza
Mr. Abdelqader Hussien Khader: Senior radiology technician, the Indonesian Hospital, North Gaza.
Ms. Nada Ramzi Khader: 2nd year pharmacy student, Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Azhar University, Gaza
Ms. Shahed Abdulqader Khader: 2nd year pharmacy student, Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Azhar University, Gaza
Mr. Abdul-Raziq Khader: administrative staff at Kamal Adwan Hospital, North Gaza.
Mr. Deeb Mohammed Al-Batsh: Chief nurse at The Indonesian Hospital, North Gaza.
