في اليوم العالمي للعمل الإنساني، يقف مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة والتنمية إجلالاً وتقديرًا للجهود الجبارة التي يبذلها العاملون والعاملات في المجال الإنساني في أصعب الظروف، وخاصة في قطاع غزة الذي يشهد واحدة من أشد الأزمات الإنسانية في تاريخه الحديث ، حيث استشهد أكثر من 225 من زملائنا الموظفين والمتطوعين، وأصيب أكثر ‏المئات بجروح، كما تم اعتقال وأُسر أكثر من 20 منهم خلال تأديتهم عملهم الإنساني .

يأتي هذا اليوم في ظل كارثة إنسانية متفاقمة، حيث تُشير التقارير الأخيرة الصادرة عن وكالة الأونروا بتاريخ 16 أغسطس 2025، إلى أن أكثر من مليون امرأة في قطاع غزة تعاني من الجوع وسوء التغذية، ويواجهن يوميًا مشاق البحث عن الغذاء في ظل انعدام الأمن الغذائي الكامل. وقد صنّف تصنيف الأمن الغذائي المتكامل IPCمناطق واسعة من غزة في المرحلة الخامسة (كارثة)، وهي أعلى مراحل انعدام الأمن الغذائي.

وتشير بيانات الأمم المتحدة إلى أن:
- 4 من كل 5 عائلات في غزة تقلص عدد وجباتها اليومية.
- 92% من السكان يعتمدون على المساعدات الإنسانية للبقاء.
- العاملون/ات في المجال الإنساني يواجهون تهديدات مباشرة ونقصًا في الموارد.
- أستشهد 220 شخص منهم 110 طفل من أثر التجويع المستمر على قطاع غزة.

في هذه المناسبة، نُجدد الدعوة إلى:
1. تحييد العمل الإنساني عن الصراعات، وضمان حرية وسلامة العاملين فيه.
2.زيادة الدعم الدولي الفوري لبرامج الإغاثة في غزة.
3. تمكين النساء والفئات الهشة المتأثرة بالجوع، عبر دعم مبادرات الحماية والتعافي.
4. الضغط من أجل فتح المعابر وإدخال الإغاثة العاجلة دون شروط.

إن العمل الإنساني ليس مجرّد استجابة طارئة، بل هو التزام أخلاقي وإنساني، ويجب أن يُصان ويُعزّز بكل الوسائل.

On the Occasion of World Humanitarian Day

On World Humanitarian Day, the Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture and Development stands in deep respect and appreciation for the tremendous efforts of humanitarian workers who operate under the most difficult circumstances—especially in the Gaza Strip, which is experiencing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in its modern history. More than 225 of our colleagues, staff and volunteers, have been killed, hundreds wounded, and over 20 detained or captured while carrying out their humanitarian mission.
This day comes amid an escalating humanitarian catastrophe. According to the latest UNRWA report issued on 16 August 2025, more than one million women in Gaza are suffering from hunger and malnutrition, facing the daily struggle to find food amid total food insecurity. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) has categorized large parts of Gaza at Phase 5 (Catastrophe), the highest level of food insecurity.
United Nations data indicates that:
• 4 out of 5 families in Gaza have reduced their daily meals.
• 92% of the population depends on humanitarian assistance for survival.
• Humanitarian workers face direct threats and severe shortages of resources.
• 220 people, including 110 children, have died as a result of the ongoing starvation in Gaza.
On this occasion, we renew our call to:
1. Protect humanitarian work from conflicts and ensure the freedom and safety of humanitarian workers.
2. Urgently increase international support for relief programs in Gaza.
3. Empower women and vulnerable groups affected by hunger through protection and recovery initiatives.
4. Exert pressure to open the crossings and allow unconditional entry of urgent relief.
Humanitarian work is not merely an emergency response, but a moral and human commitment that must be safeguarded and strengthened by all means.

بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للشباب 12/8/2025
نظم مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة والتنمية نشاطًا للتفريغ النفسي استهدف مجموعة من الشباب/ات ضمن برامج الدعم والتمكين. بالبداية كان عرض للفيديو مسجل لكلمة الأستاذ محسن ابو رمضان مدير المركز بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للشباب و من ثم الأنشطة الخاصة بالتفريغ النفسي.
هدف هذا النشاط إلى خلق مساحة آمنة للشباب للتعبير عن مشاعرهم، والتخفيف من الضغوط النفسية التي يواجهونها في ظل الأوضاع الراهنة.

يأتي هذا النشاط في إطار حرص المركز على دعم الصحة النفسية للشباب، وتعزيز صمودهم، وتوفير بيئة تعزز روح الأمل والتفاعل الإيجابي.

في هذا اليوم، نُجدد إيماننا بأن الشباب هم ركيزة التغيير وبُناة المستقبل.

On the occasion of International Youth Day, 12/8/2025,
the Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture and Development organized a psychosocial support activity targeting a group of young men and women as part of its support and empowerment programs. The event began with the screening of a recorded video message from Mr. Mohsen Abu Ramadan, Director of the Center, on the occasion of International Youth Day, followed by specialized psychosocial support activities.

The aim of this activity was to create a safe space for youth to express their feelings and relieve the psychological pressures they face under the current circumstances.

This activity comes as part of the Center’s commitment to supporting the mental health of youth, enhancing their resilience, and providing an environment that fosters hope and positive interaction.

On this day, we renew our belief that youth are the cornerstone of change and the builders of the future.

لقاء حواري بعنوان: “واقع وتحديات الشباب الفلسطيني في ظل الأوضاع الراهنة”

بمناسبة اليوم العالمي لمهارات الشباب، نظم مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة والتنمية لقاءً حواريًا عبر تطبيق Zoom ضمن أنشطة شبكة السلم الأهلي، بمشاركة شبابية مميزة من مختلف مناطق قطاع غزة.

استُهل اللقاء بكلمة من أ. محسن أبو رمضان، مدير المركز، شدد فيها على أهمية استثمار طاقات الشباب وتمكينهم وتعزيز مشاركتهم في الحياة العامة وصناعة السلم الأهلي، خاصة في ظل التحديات الراهنة التي تمر بها القضية الفلسطينية. وأكد على ضرورة تفعيل دور الشباب في مجالات الإغاثة والتعليم، وترسيخ قيم المواطنة والديمقراطية والتمثيل العادل.

نجوى بكر، إحدى متطوعات المركز وعضوة شبكة السلم الأهلي، قدمت مداخلة عكست واقع وتحديات الشباب الفلسطيني، مشيرة إلى التأثيرات السلبية المستمرة للحرب على الشباب في غزة من جوانب اقتصادية واجتماعية ونفسية، والحاجة إلى بيئة داعمة لابتكاراتهم.

يسّرت اللقاء الزميلة غيداء الشوا، منسقة ميدانية بالمركز، بروح تفاعلية، وأتاحت الفرصة للمشاركين والمشاركات لطرح آرائهم وأفكارهم حول التحديات الحالية ودورهم في بناء السلم الأهلي.

كان اللقاء مساحة مفتوحة لتبادل الرؤى، وأكد أن الشباب ليسوا فقط مستقبل الوطن، بل شركاء فاعلون في الحاضر.

Dialogue Session: “The Reality and Challenges of Palestinian Youth Amid Current Circumstances”

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture and Development organized a dialogue session via Zoom as part of the Civil Peace Network activities, with active youth participation from across the Gaza Strip.

The session opened with remarks by Mr. Mohsen Abu Ramadan, Director of the Center, who emphasized the importance of investing in youth potential, empowering them, and enhancing their role in public life and civil peacebuilding—especially given the ongoing challenges facing the Palestinian cause. He stressed the need to activate youth initiatives in relief, education, and civic engagement.

Najwa Bakr, a volunteer at the Center and member of the Civil Peace Network, delivered an intervention reflecting the voice of Palestinian youth. She addressed the devastating impact of the war on Gaza’s youth—economically, socially, and psychologically—and the need for a supportive environment to foster their innovation.

The session was facilitated by Ghaidaa Al-Shawa, the Center’s field coordinator, who created an interactive atmosphere and encouraged participants to share their perspectives and ideas on the current challenges and how youth can be part of the solution.

The session served as an open platform for dialogue and affirmed that youth are not just the future of the nation, but active contributors to its present.

يأتي هذا النشاط بدعم كريم من الهيئة الخيرية الأردنية الهاشمية ووقفية خير الأردن، تعزيزًا لقيم التضامن والتكافل.

Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture and Development continues distributing hot meals in Gaza City as part of its ongoing efforts to support families amid the difficult humanitarian conditions.
This activity is generously supported by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization and the Khair Al-Urdun Endowment, in a spirit of solidarity and compassion.

باليوم العالمي لمهارات ابتكار الشباب،
يؤكد مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة والتنمية على أهمية بناء قدرات الشباب وتوسيع مساحة الابتكار لديهم.
باليوم العالمي لمهارات ابتكار الشباب، والذي جاء بقرار من الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة،
أكد مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة على أهمية هذا اليوم وضرورة الأخذ بتوصياته الرامية إلى بناء قدرات الشباب المعرفية والثقافية والتقنية.
وشدد المركز على أهمية توفير الموارد والفرص لدى جيل الشباب في المجتمع الفلسطيني، وذلك بوصفه مجتمعًا فتيًا وناشئًا.
وأشار المركز إلى ضرورة خلق التواصل ما بين الشباب وبين مسارات المعرفة التي تساعد على التطوير وتوسيع مساحة الابتكار لديهم.
وأكد المركز على أن تملك مهارات الابتكار لدى الشباب يعمل على زيادة القدرات المعرفية، ويساهم بشكل فاعل في محاربة الفقر وتحقيق متطلبات التنمية البشرية المستدامة.
On World Youth Skills Day for Innovation,
Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture and Development affirms the importance of building young people’s capacities and expanding their space for innovation.
On this day, established by a resolution from the UN General Assembly,
the Center emphasized the importance of this occasion and the need to adopt its recommendations aimed at enhancing youth’s cognitive, cultural, and technical capacities.
The Center stressed the importance of providing resources and opportunities for the youth in Palestinian society, as it is a young and emerging society.
It also pointed to the necessity of creating connections between youth and paths of knowledge that support their development and foster innovation.
The Center affirmed that equipping youth with innovation skills enhances their cognitive abilities and plays an active role in combating poverty and achieving the goals of sustainable human development.

أنهى مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة والتنمية حملة توزيع وجبات عدد 20728 وجبة طعام ساخنة في مستشفى الرنتيسي للأطفال وعدد من مراكز الإيواء في مدينة غزة، وذلك ضمن جهوده المستمرة لدعم الأهالي في ظل الأوضاع الإنسانية الصعبة.

نشكر كل من ساهم في إيصال هذه الوجبات لمن يحتاجها، ونجدد التزامنا بالوقوف إلى جانب مجتمعنا، وتعزيز قيم التكافل والسلم الأهلي.

Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture and Development has concluded its campaign of distributing 20728 hot meals at Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital and several shelters in Gaza City, as part of its ongoing efforts to support families amidst the difficult humanitarian conditions.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who helped deliver these meals to those in need, and we reaffirm our commitment to standing by our community and promoting the values of solidarity and civil peace.

يؤكد مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة على أهمية التعاونيات ودورها في تعزيز المشاركة والديمقراطية والتنمية الاجتماعية، وذلك بالاعتماد على الموارد المحلية على المستوى البشري والمجتمعي.
أتى هذا التأكيد بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للتعاونيات، والذي يصادف الخامس من يوليو من كل عام، وذلك بقرار من الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة.
وأشاد المركز بدور التعاونيات في المجتمع الفلسطيني كوسيلة للتضامن الاجتماعي والاقتصادي، بوصفها إحدى أدوات تعزيز الصمود.

The Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center emphasizes the vital role of cooperatives in promoting participation, democracy, and social development by relying on local human and community resources.
This statement comes on the occasion of the International Day of Cooperatives, observed annually on July 5th, as declared by the United Nations General Assembly.
The Center commended the role of cooperatives in Palestinian society as a means of social and economic solidarity, describing them as essential tools for strengthening resilience.
It also stressed the importance of preserving, supporting, and revitalizing cooperatives during the challenging circumstances faced by Palestinian communities, as they unify efforts, help combat poverty, and contribute to community development—thereby fostering civil peace and social cohesion.

نفّذ مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة والتنمية ورشة عمل بعنوان:
“مبادئ الحوار في تعزيز مفهوم السلم الأهلي”
ضمن جهوده المستمرة لتعزيز ثقافة الحوار والتفاهم المجتمعي.

استُهِل اللقاء بكلمة من مدير المركز أ. محسن أبو رمضان، مؤكدًا على أهمية الحوار كأداة فعالة في بناء السلم المجتمعي والحد من النزاعات.

وقام بتيسير الورشة أ. ضياء أبو عصر، المدير العام لمجموعة كالنبيان، حيث قدّم إطارًا تفاعليًا ناقش خلاله:
• أهمية الحوار كقيمة إنسانية.
• أسس الحوار البناء.
• دور الشباب والنساء في نشر ثقافة السلم الأهلي.

الورشة شهدت تفاعلًا مميزًا من الحضور، مع تبادل للخبرات والرؤى حول آليات تعميم الحوار في ظل التحديات الراهنة.

as part of its ongoing efforts to foster a culture of dialogue and community understanding.

The session opened with a speech by the Center’s Director, Mr. Mohsen Abu Ramadan, who emphasized the importance of dialogue as an effective tool for building social peace and reducing conflicts.

The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Diaa Abu Asr, General Director of the Kalnabian Group, who provided an interactive framework covering:
• The importance of dialogue as a human value.
• The foundations of constructive dialogue.
• The role of youth and women in promoting the culture of civil peace.

The workshop witnessed remarkable engagement from participants, with valuable exchanges of experiences and perspectives on how to mainstream dialogue amid current challenges.

مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة يشارك بندوة بعنوان:
تداعيات العدوان الأمريكي الإسرائيلي على إيران إقليميًا ودوليًا.

شارك مركز د. حيدر عبد الشافي للثقافة عبر مديره الأستاذ محسن أبو رمضان، الذي أدار اللقاء، بندوة نظمها المنبر التقدمي الديمقراطي بعنوان “تداعيات العدوان الأمريكي الإسرائيلي على الأوضاع الإقليمية والدولية”.

وبعد ترحيب منسق المنبر الأستاذ محمود الشيخ بالحضور، قُدمت مداخلات رئيسية من:
أ. عصام مخول، رئيس مركز إميل توما للأبحاث ورئيس الجبهة الديمقراطية للسلام والمساواة،
وأ. عريب الرنتاوي، مدير مركز القدس للدراسات والأبحاث.

عُقد اللقاء عبر تقنية الزووم بحضور مجموعة من المثقفين.

أجمع المتحدثون على أن العدوان يأتي في سياق المساعي الأمريكية للسيطرة على المنطقة، خصوصًا منابع النفط والممرات المائية، وحماية إسرائيل، ومحاصرة الدورين الروسي والصيني.

وأشاروا إلى أن ما حدث هو جولة في حرب قد تتكرر إن رأت أمريكا في ذلك مصلحة.

ونوّهوا إلى أن نتنياهو كان يسعى لضرب إيران بذريعة المفاعل النووي، لكن الأهداف كانت أوسع، تهدف إلى إسقاط النظام وتفتيت إيران.

وأكدوا أن روسيا والصين من أكثر الدول تضررًا من هذا العدوان.

وخلصوا إلى أن الهدف هو منع نشوء عالم متعدد الأقطاب، وترسيخ السيطرة الأمريكية في المنطقة.

واختتم أبو رمضان بالتأكيد على أن الاحتلال يسعى لاستغلال الحرب لتصفية القضية الفلسطينية، ما يستدعي إنهاء الانقسام، وتحقيق الوحدة الوطنية، وتعزيز صمود المواطنين.

Dr. Haider Abdel Shafi Center for Culture participated in a symposium titled:
The Repercussions of the American-Israeli Aggression on Iran Regionally and Internationally.

The Center was represented by Director Mr. Mohsen Abu Ramadan, who moderated the event organized by the Progressive Democratic Forum.

Speakers included Mr. Issam Makhoul (Emil Touma Research Center) and Mr. Oraib Al-Rantawi (Jerusalem Center for Political Studies), with the session held via Zoom and attended by a group of intellectuals.

Discussions highlighted that the aggression reflects U.S. efforts to dominate the region, control energy routes, protect Israel, and limit Russian and Chinese influence.

Participants warned that the strike may be part of a recurring conflict, and that Netanyahu aimed beyond Iran’s nuclear program — seeking regime change and division.

They also stressed that Russia and China are among the most affected, concluding that the aggression aims to prevent a multipolar world and entrench U.S. dominance.

Abu Ramadan concluded by emphasizing that the occupation seeks to use the war to eliminate the Palestinian cause, calling for unity and resilience.
