Beyond Wellness Aljezur is a wellness center overlooking Praia da Amoreira and the Ribeira de Aljezur

Beyond Wellness Aljezur was created by Eileen Lafer PhD, C-IAYT, E-RYT500. Eileen is a Professional Yoga Therapist certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT). She also holds credentials as a teacher of iREST Meditation, therapeutic yoga (E-RYT500), trauma sensitive yoga, and pre-natal and postpartum yoga (RPYT). She is a continuing education provider for Yoga Alliance (YACEP) as well as the International Association of Yoga Therapists (ADP provider).

In Restorative Yoga, the body is placed in gentle postures that create feelings of comfort and safety, promoting the release of excess muscular tension that may be causing pain. As the nervous system is brought into balance, our ability to deal with difficult emotions and stress improves. You will learn how to give yourself the profound gift of deep rest in this workshop which is suitable for beginners as well as experienced yoga practitioners. Our spectacular location in the Parque Natural da Costa Vicentina will allow you to connect with nature as you connect with yourself.

Your experience will be guided by Eileen Lafer, who holds an advanced teaching certificate in Restorative Yoga from Judith Hanson Lasater, and is certified as a C-IAYT Professional Yoga Therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Welcome to Beyond Wellness Aljezur, the culmination of a dream to create a place, intimately connected to nature, in which I can live and share the knowledge I have accumulated over a lifetime. My name is Eileen Lafer. I am a yoga and meditation teacher, medical educator and scientist. I am currently studying yoga therapy at the Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy.
