GIMM is born from the merger of two leading research institutes, bringing together incredible skills, teams, and scientific platforms.

While our name and image have changed, our mission remains the same: advancing science and protecting research participants' rights. Patients and citizens who have donated biological samples will continue to be able to exercise their rights, namely the right to information, withdrawal of consent, access, rectification, erasure, limitation, and portability within legal limits.

Our Biobank continues its crucial work, now under the GIMM umbrella. Same dedication, new identity.

GIMM offers a distinctive PhD Program designed to attract and cultivate highly skilled researchers in biology and biomedicine. You’ll engage in intensive research within a dynamic learning environment, tackling complex biological challenges and addressing questions with significant societal impact.

Two calls are open: one for 17 PhD Studentships and another for participation in a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks.

Thank you to our incredible participants and volunteers who made this day possible!

Last Friday was more than just an event - it was a powerful demonstration of what GIMM Foundation stands for: dedication, collaboration, and science with purpose.

Together with the Penha Longa Resort, we raise awareness and fundraise for breast cancer research, focusing on two critical challenges: metastatic breast cancer and rising incidence in young women.

We're not just doing science. We're making a difference.
