The rate of HIV prevalence in Tanzania has dropped from 7% in 2003-04, to 5.1% in 2011-12. We are making progress!This was revealed at the launch of the 2011-12 HIV/AIDS and Malaria Indicator survey for Tanzania.

This World Health Day, 7 April 2013, WHO and partners focus on the global problem of high blood pressure.

Though it affects more than one in three adults worldwide, it remains largely hidden. Many people do not know they have high blood pressure because it does not always cause symptoms. As a result, it leads to more than nine million deaths every year.
