First Course of 2026 — The Importance of Limits of Stability in Pediatric Neuro‑Rehabilitation 🌟
What an amazing way to start 2026!
This course focused on the clinical relevance of Limits of Stability (LoS) in pediatric neuro‑rehabilitation and how objective assessment can transform clinical reasoning and intervention planning.
The session was led by the incredible Physiotherapist, researcher and scholar, Ana Moreira, at her clinic AMFisio – Gabinete de Fisioterapia. Her clarity, practical approach and deep expertise created an inspiring learning environment.
One of the highlights was the hands‑on component, which included the participation of a real patient. Using the PhysioSensing Balance Solution, we objectively measured the patient’s Limits of Stability, enabling a detailed analysis of their functional stability area and the quality of movement control within that range.
It was fascinating to observe how a targeted intervention, designed directly from the protocol results, translated into measurable improvements. A clear example of how data‑driven decision-making elevates clinical practice.
We also discussed the importance of monitoring and managing fatigue throughout the intervention. Seeing fatigue reflected in the sit‑to‑stand assessment protocol sparked valuable discussion around dosing, progression and safety in pediatric rehabilitation 🤔
🤩 Super interesting insights!
