Our students are still reminiscing on an incredible week in Portugal as part of the Twinnet Exchange Programme 🇵🇹✨

From exploring the beautiful streets of Porto to spending the week in Coimbra, they had the opportunity to visit the University’s Faculty of Pharmacy, attend a fascinating lecture on nitric oxide signalling in the brain by Professor Joāo Laranjinha, tour a community pharmacy and Bluepharma pharmaceutical plant, and learn about the rich history and traditions of the University of Coimbra.

They also experienced Portuguese culture through traditional music, food, student traditions, and finished up exploring the city of Lisbon together!

A huge thank you to the Twinnet committee for organising such an amazing exchange, and to the students of Coimbra and the people of Portugal for the incredibly warm welcome. You made everyone feel like true Coimbra students by the end of the week 🇵🇹❤️‍🔥

IPSA extends a warm welcome to the first-year pharmacy students of the University of Galway and Atlantic Technological University who have recently begun their newly opened M.Pharm Programmes this September. 🎉

You’re now part of a growing community of future pharmacists, joining peers from the previously established M.Pharm programmes in University College Cork, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Trinity College Dublin.

Starting out can be exciting (and a little daunting!), but remember — we’ve all been there, and you’re not alone on the journey of lectures, labs, and late-night study sessions. 🫂

Remember, IPSA is here to support and connect with you throughout your studies 🤞

We look forward to welcoming pharmacy students from South East Technological University in September 2026!
