I have over 25 years of experience helping families achieve "Blissful Babies and mums", providing my clients with professional, caring and practical guidance from early pregnancy to care of your newborn. I have a background of working in hospitals including delivery suites, postnatal wards, neonatal intensive care units and antenatal wards and day units. However the majority of my experience is in the community and my passion is low risk midwifery birth and minimal interventional care pathways. I also have teaching experience of both families and student midwives. Over the years I have proven practical techniques to assist families in caring for newborns up to 6 weeks old and coping strategies for those early days. I also offer breast feeding support with additional help from a breast feeding mentor if required. I am offering half hour phone calls (face time if prefered) in which I will take a full history from you and then discuss the issues/questions that you have. Whatever your query or question is you can bet I have heard it before so nothing is too small or "trivial." Every call will be followed up with a message to check that you are satisfied or arrange further calls if needed. I am also offering a doula service within an area of 90 minutes from Oliviera do Hospital. I will also offer Homebirth assistance on discussion. This service is NOT designed to take the place of your maternity care from hospitals etc but it is there to give you extra information, advice and help to make this amazing time in your life, even better!
