The kind of positivity that raises our vibration has really nothing to do with what is so often misunderstood within the many ungrounded new age belief systems. The kind of positivity that truly initiates shifts of our consciousness is the actual capacity to be deeply authentic with our feelings as they arise. This is then a capacity to truly hold space for ourselves by simply allowing and gifting us the authenticity of our human experience. However, this must be rooted in the understanding and knowing that we are never a victim of what is happening nor necessarily the one who is ‘manifesting’ a certain situation. As with the latter, belief carries a flavour of arrogance, for who are we to know? There are forces far greater than us spinning the wheels of time and space that cannot be rationally explained by the incomplete and one-size-fits-all and cause-and -effect kind of thinking. Instead it leads to thoughts and feelings with the bitter aftertaste of self-punishment, and it is this that causes shifts to ‘lower’ states of consciousness, whether only momentarily or chronically. And who can blame us really? Self-punishment is our inheritance from the religious dogmas that have solidified within our psyche over the last millennia. It is as far removed from the essence of the original teachings as it is from the essence of life itself.
Allowing time and space for authenticity is a radical act of unravelling ourselves back to our essence, for this allowing eventually reveals to us the deeper meaning and beauty of our experience. This is what initiates the flowering of our consciousness to new levels and in an all-encompassing and holistic way, for it is an embodied way which honours our existence and experience as human beings.
In this way, as we fully open to our human experience in any given moment, the deeper gifts and thus the beauty and grace of this experience are being revealed and absorbed into our consciousness. This is what causes and furthers our evolution again and again, however it demands our strength to open to and embrace our authentic feelings with the deep knowing that this is ultimately a necessary part in the grander process of our blossoming into Love and as Love.
