Sacred Pause. Welcoming the Solstice and moving slowly back to the light.

During this time of so much conflict, pressure and tension in the world and in our surroundings.. I hope you find the time to reflect, with gratitude and a clear mind to not shy away from anything that needs to change in your life or around you.

This Saturday 23.12 will be the last class of the year. I will be back in January (date TBA) with some changes and the regular classes.

A Restorative & Wellness Session at Outpost Ocean Getaways!

Winter is a time for going inward, self-reflection and slowing down to conserve energy. This is exactly the reason why I am hosting a 3! series of the Give Yourself Time sessions.

🌿 1,5hr of Restorative Asana, Meditation, Pranayama & Yoga Nidra
🌿1,5hr Soothing Spa hour with sauna, hot & cold tub.
Journaling exercises and accompanied by herbal infusions and some light snacks.

Limited Places to ensure an intimate group and space for yourself!

First date: Sunday 17th of December
Time: 16h - 19h
Location: Outpost Ocean Getaways, Azenhas do Mar / Praia da Aguda

After teaching in Sintra for 2,5 years you can now also find me in Cascais at Mujo Movement & Wellness. (No, I won't leave Sintra!)

This morning class is suited for those who want to build up a morning ritual with a (moving) meditation practice. You will be supported individually in a group setting. This means regardless of injuries, body shapes etc the practice will suit you.

The only way to build a ritual for yourself is step - by - step , with consistency and commitment to experience that balance between effort and ease with a focused mind. This only happens overtime with regular practice and I am happy to support you in that journey.

The Womxn and Yoga Workshop is back!

If you want to practice with longevity, energy and understanding of your own body, then this is a vital workshop for you.

Last year I gave this workshop to a great group women -from different backgrounds and ages- and it made me realise how much need there was for more in-depth knowledge and personal sharing about this (never ending!) topic.

This year I invited Iris from to join the workshop. She helps women with her work as hormonal health coach and holistic cycle guide. She gives them (and us during the workshop!) practical tools and insights about how to make more informed body choices.

I (Xamira) will be guiding you through a special asana sequence which you can practice around your menstrual cycle (or teach to your students). We will also cover moola bandha, and integrating this knowledge in your daily personal practice.

We will have enough time for the sharing circle to integrate the theory and exchange experiences upon what we have discussed and practiced.
With a cup of tea of course ;)

2 workshops x 2 mornings.

These two workshops are designed to give you an introduction into the tradition of Yoga.
We will touch upon the basic principles of a sustainable yoga practice, the key concepts of the philosophy of Yoga and Meditation practices.

Suitable for students who practice for a while but want to know more, for students new to yoga, and for students who want to revisit the fundamentals for teaching purposes.

This workshop consists of two parts.
Attend both or just one*.

Part 1: Saturday November 26th
| 10:00 - 13:00 |

Part 2: Saturday 3rd of December
| 10:00 - 13:00 |

*Preference goes to students attending both workshops. Separate sessions possible upon availability.

PART 1 - Saturday 26th of November

The Gross & the Subtle
you will learn about alignment, variations and adjustments of the foundational asanas
surya namaskar A & B, standing asanas & inversions.

The wisdom of Yoga
Introduction into the philosophy of Yoga with its key concepts and perspectives. You will gain a perspective about different yogic traditions and get familiar with the world of metaphysics.

PART 2 - Saturday 3rd of December

The Gross & the Subtle
You will draw your own sequence which you will practice during mysore style and we will continue about alignment, variations & adjustments for back bending, inversions and groundwork.

The wisdom of Yoga
Building further upon the philosophy we will bring the metaphysical theory into practice with meditation (dharana), learning of the invocation & closing mantra and basic principles of pranayama.
