My name is Joanne most people call me Jo. My humanitarian services began in London 30 years ago. I am a Residential Social Worker,, where I worked alongside Emotionally damaged children, Teenagers with challenging behavior, Homeless Projects assisting as deputy manager.
I decided to leave the Matrix, to embrace the world on a sacred journey to India where I ended up traveling around Asia for 5 years, and other parts of the world, never to return to live in London. Traveling the world brought me amazing teachings and personal insights, inspirations, wisdom. As my interests grew stronger to understand the scientific complexity of the body mind and soul.

My connection felt so deep that I decided I would be a Kambo Practitioner. Still, my amazement and respect for the intelligent medicine Kambo grows. I became so intrigued when I was first introduced to Kambo due to its healing properties. I read a little on the internet and spoke to a few people about it. I then went straight ahead and applied to be a Kambo Practitioner with IAKP (International Association Kambo Practitioners) A few friends could not understand how I could commit to such a deep profound future when I never actually physically experienced Kambo itself. What is Kambo Kambo is a secretion from the large, Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog. Scientifically known as Phyllomdeusa Bicolor. It has been reported that the secretion is one of the most potent ways to strengthen the immune system, and one of nature's most powerful anti~inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibacterial, antibiotic and anesthetic substances on the planet. The Kambo is scraped onto small pieces of Bamboo wood, where it is then dried, wrapped in a dried leaf, and shipped to its destination. This medicine has been used in South America amongst the tribes for thousands of years. It first documented by a man in France. Priest, Father Constantin Tastevin in 1925 close to the Jurua River in Brasil. 1990 there was a movement and Kambo was taken outside of the rain forests by a man called Franciso Gomes, the practice spread and soon it was being used in the larger cities all around the world. Scientists have shown that Kambo contains Bioactive Peptides, Several of these peptides have already been identified and currently, there are over 70 Kambo Patents, lodged.
What are the benefits of Kambo? Immediate and short term benefits include enhanced mood, alertness, clarity, focus, energy, and increased resistance to stress, tiredness, hunger, and thirst. In the longer term, Kambo empowers the immune system, rousing the body’s defense systems to their natural functions so that existing health problems are improved or resolved and future ones are less likely to occur. In spiritual terms, Kambo works in a mystical fashion as a light that opens the way, helping us to overcome obstacles and release blockages on an emotional level. It clears our energy field and realigns the chakras enabling us to break negative habits and think more naturally.
What happens when I take Kambo? Kambo is intense but fast. The unpleasant effects are strong and immediate but over within 20 - 40 minutes. The dried Kambo is mixed with a small amount of water and divided into small dots. Then small points called gates are placed into the surface of the skin. The points are approximately 1/8” across but can be smaller or slightly larger depending on the treatment. The top thin layer of skin is blistered with a small hot stick and the skin is peeled off to expose the epidermis underneath – this is the same as when you have a blister and the skin rubs off. There is no blood and it is not painful for most. The Kambo enters directly into the Lymphatic System so the effect is very fast and intense lasting between 20 to 40minutes. Most people experience a warm to hot flush on the upper body and face along with increased heart rate. You many feel a little dizzy, foggy, or spaced out. The Kambo will be racing around your body, scanning it for problems and then going directly to work on those areas. You may experience a throbbing or burning sensation in those areas for a short while Then you will purge to realize built-up toxins. This purging process works on a physical and emotional level. You may feel tired at this point and need to rest. After the dots of Kambo are removed, the points are dressed with Peruvian tree sap. This helps them to heal faster and ensures they stay free from infection until they scab naturally within a day or so. Within a short time – usually 30 minutes or so you will start to feel more energized. and I will offer fruits and tea and invite you to share your experience. It is ok to drive after and i do encourage you to take this day to allow rest if you need to. The burn marks will heal and fade with time but depending on your skin color and type you may always have faint scarring. Most people see their Kambo scars as a badge of honor. The same points can be reused after approximately 3 months.
