If you want to master the squat you need to strengthen and release your lower body/ fascia, also note, body type, injuries, hydration, body structure and daily habits will also affect how long or how deep you can get into this posture. ATTENTION the exercises shared in this reel can be practiced by anyone, except those with serious/ chronic spinal / DISK injuries ( in this case it is best to avoid these exercises at all costs).
So far, this is The best hip opener ever! One thing that shocked me as I travelled around India and China was the length of time and the frequency that people there can hold this posture. One of the greatest gifts we can give our bodies, definitely one of the best lessons from the East. Just pure maintenance really!

The fastest way to lift your spirits is being out in nature. Now we are entering springtime, there is not better time to enjoy feeling uplifted by flowers and just feeling the soil. While we are at it, best to notice all the plants and flowers, they all have special properties and have effects on our bodies, whether through our senses or consumed directly ( obviously after doing your own research and consulting specialists). For example, I am always happy to be out and finding Milk Thistle: the best herb we can have to help clear the liver. Every country has a bitter herb that loves your liver. Where you live, which plant is a bitter herb that aids the liver? 🧘‍♀️🌿

The past reel about increasing your fibre and micronutrient intake left the question: what would you add to this dish? Thanks for your super creative responses. Surprise surprise! I added turkey and cooked mushrooms! Yummm, super good lean protein and veg that privide a good mix of vitamins and minerals plus fibre that is easier to digest! This combo is great for long lasting steady energy for your body and brain. I find it is a great light choice in the evening, supporting the body when settling down and getting ready for recovery, rest and sleep. But It can also be used for so much more knowing your gut is getting the best of both worlds, taste and health! 💭

Posture is an important expression of health. An open chest can make us feel expansive, an engaged core can make us feel strong and so on. Often posture goes unnoticed, but it has a massive effect, not only on how we feel but also on how our organs and muscles function. So, becoming conscious of how we spend the day will help us to contribute to our everyday wellbeing... What is your posture like?

So, often it is not a question of increasing vitamins and minerals... but actually optimising our body's ability to absorb them. We are incredible beings, we are a powerhouse! But once our organs become clogged because we end up consuming the wrong foods for so long... snacking, following sedentary lifestyles etc etc... it doesnt matter how much we increase our vitamins and minerals. Sometimes, We just need to increase our good bacteria, fibers, diversify our microbiome and provide simple foods that are easy to digest. Then, even sunlight can be processed better. So, try this during a hot day, or with a nice warm soup or tea on the side. Make up your own and suggest it on the comments or let me know what you would add to this Salad. Enjoy!

We often dont understand cravings... even though sometimes even they seem to be stronger than us, we just keep going. But we just need knowledge and the willingness to overcome them. The way our society runs is often against our natural rhythms, specially in the evenings when we should be resting and winding down, we have families to feed, kids to pick up, runs to be done, everything that didn't get ticked off the list... and so, as we do more, the heart shrinks and gets desperate, the spleen tries to keep actively doing its job as well as the liver, going far beyond... and somehow the body needs more quick energy to keep up. In that race, minerals are depleted, we get more tired and we crave for the very things that leave us even more depleted... and we spiral down. So, when external forces cannot be changed... try an amazing ayurveda mix that is widely known as golden milk. If you feel you are constantly tired even when you are having good sleep and eating well... your Lymphatic systen might just need a little help. Although we may make sure we are well hydrated, we are watching our mineral intake and that we are eating as well as we can, we also need to make sure we are getting enough quality movement to help our body cleanse and clear naturally. Do you need a deep detox? May be once every 6 months? But Often these actually leave you feeling worse because of how much toxicity was stuck around the body...so one of the most practical ongoing "hygene" routines I love practicing is tapping and jumping. I didn't invent them by the way! These are practices known for thousands of years within the Far East. This knowledge still lives to this day, so why not make the most of it?
