As recorded in the Yoga Sutras by Patanjali over 2,000 years ago, yoga is more than a physical practice, it is a complete path toward inner freedom.
This path is known as the Ashtanga Yoga System, or the Eight Limbs of Yoga. The word ashta means “eight,” and anga means “limb,” symbolizing the interconnected steps that guide us toward liberation.
The eight limbs offer a holistic framework for living with awareness, discipline, and compassion, moving from ethical foundations and self-study to breath, meditation, and ultimately, union with our true nature.
Yoga, in this sense, is a lifelong journey inward, one that invites balance between body, mind, and spirit. 🕉️✨
