😴 A monitorização dos padrões de sono revela o impacto que a quimioterapia tem no sono.

🛏️ Um novo estudo da Fundação Champalimaud e da Universidade de Lisboa testou um dispositivo contactless, colocado debaixo do colchão, com o objetivo de monitorizar o sono de doentes com cancro da mama submetidos a quimioterapia. O dispositivo revelou padrões específicos de perturbações do sono durante o tratamento, identificando períodos críticos em que os doentes são mais afetados.

🏃‍♀️ Os resultados reforçam a necessidade de desenvolver estratégias não farmacológicas, como o exercício físico, para ajudar a melhorar o sono e a qualidade de vida dos doentes.

😴 Tracking sleeping patterns sheds new light on the impact of chemotherapy on sleep.

🛏️ A new study by the Champalimaud Foundation and the University of Lisbon tested a contactless device placed under the mattress to monitor sleep in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. This device revealed specific patterns of sleep disturbances during treatment, highlighting critical periods when patients are most affected.

🏃‍♀️ These findings support the need for non-pharmacological strategies, like physical exercise, to help improve sleep and overall quality of life.

💡🩺 New AI powered model to speed up accurate patient screening and diagnosis!

📝Traditional manual analysis of medical reports is extremely time consuming but crucial for accurate diagnosis and effective patient screening.

Health data engineers addressed this challenge by developing a new model - called MediAlbertina - which enables doctors to quickly and accurately organise medical reports. 💻

This approach can streamline daily clinical workflows, improve categorisation of diseases in patients and offer a tool for new clinical research analysis.
