Happy year of the Wood dragon!
I asked my friend and bazi astrologer Yuen Wong for a quick rundown of what we are dealing with, universal Qi-wise? A long discussion ensued about how one size doesn’t fit all, and as a doctor of Chinese medicine and astrologer we understand each other perfectly: it all depends. Your chart will determine how dragon year will pass for you, just like your constitution and lifestyle matter when I start treating your illness. But here’s a quick synapse:
“It looks like for most zodiacs it’s a year of Change. Granted we do have to look into the hour, day, month, and year pillars. But generally we should be aware and adaptable.
It’s a fantastic time to try something completely new. It’s a year of action, of doing. But with all things in the midst of doing and action, be aware of mental health.
The Yang energy may affect liver and gallbladder so perhaps limit drinking this year. Yang energy and liver (liver fire) issues can also cause outbursts so be constantly mindful and incorporating relaxing activities would be beneficial.
Studying spirituality is especially helpful. Now I don’t believe color and wearing certain pendants can change your destiny but being aware of one self and be able to look within from out is the key to any success. Bazi for me is just a looking glass of self awareness. Some people get dealt bad cards, and we look for ways to transcend our charts. Which is a topic for another day. But definitely be aware of those that advertise lucky numbers, colors and charms”
If you want a personal chart, message me for Yuen Wong’s contact, you might just manage to grab a spot on her schedule.
And I’m planning a live to look into Chinese medicine side of things for the year of Yang Wood and what it means for our physiology and wellbeing.
新年快乐, 恭喜发财!
