I hope you all enjoyed your summer so far. Now we are transitioning already into this ‘back to school’ vibe. A different rhythm is coming back. 

And so we also have a whole bunch of things coming up at Little Yoga Space:

- Soul Profile Readings with Beatrice and Hana
- Lisboa Psychedelic Society meet-ups with Myrthe & Jorge are back (formerly known as the psychedelic integration circles)
- Another Restorative Sunday Morning with Lisa
- The regular Soundbaths, Breathwork sessions, and Meditations for Turbulent Times are also all back this month

I hope you are all enjoying the summer. As many of you are taking a bit of a break during the summer, so are we. We are not closed, but are taking it a little slower. Some of the teachers and practitioners are away to fill up their tanks and come back with fresh ideas and offerings in September. So in the background, we are already working on a bunch of new things.

But for now, I want to highlight Sunday August 17th, where we still have a couple of special events happening:

- Restorative Sunday Morning with Bryony

- Meditation for Turbulent Times with Eric & Malcolm

ELEVATE is a 2-day gathering in nature for facilitators who have already walked a long path and are now feeling the quiet pull toward something new.

This isn’t a retreat filled with activities or a workshop packed with content. It’s a curated, intentional space to slow down, reconnect with your vision, and be in conversation with others who are also navigating what’s next.

We’ll gather in a forest studio just outside Sintra, moving between talks, practices, shared meals, and open dialogue. The kind of space where something real can happen, without pressure, without pretense.

Time seems to fly, it’s already May.

We have new classes this month, plus trainings and retreats coming up.

- A new Yin Yoga class with Bryony starts on May 6th - every Tuesday evening and Thursday morning

- Michi will be offering two special Yoga events this month on deep rest

- Next Thai Yoga Massage practitioner training starts on May 14th - a couple of places left!

Time to join us again in Sintra 🌸💛

Spring is the time to shake off stagnation, awaken vitality, and embrace the sense of growth and possibility that the new season brings.

Katrin will share Thai Massage as a practice of reciprocity, in tune with the energy of Spring. Through rhythmic movements, gentle stretches, and mindful touch, we will awaken vitality, fostering a sense of renewal and flow - nourishing both ourselves and others in the spirit of the season.

Then flow with Johanna through an invigorating-yet-calming Yoga practice to stimulate and clear your passageways of energy through all sides of the body and develop flexibility - like a cobra shedding its winter skin for the season of transformation. The practice will involve held yin yoga poses and myofascial release techniques with lateral stretches and gentle twists to support respiratory and digestive function and promote emotional balance.

Spring is the season to renew our vitality - an ideal time to revitalise your body with a Liver detox, paving the way for a lighter, more energetic state. Hayley’s gentle acupuncture enhances your Liver’s natural detoxification, cleansing both body and mind from within.

We can help people change the narrative of the stories that dictate their lives, from a story of pain to a story of health. Let’s understand the different types of pain, and the role of body awareness and movement in managing and preventing chronic pain.

Why does this matter? Yoga can empower us to understand our suffering (what really triggers it), but also our ability to respond in a more cohesive way.

This workshop is for Yoga teachers, movement facilitators and bodyworkers, as well as Yogis who are interested in this topic for their own practice. We will take a closer look at:
🌟 the neurology of pain
🌟 the different types of pain
🌟 how chronic pain develops
🌟 the relationship between chronic pain and trauma
🌟 the impact of our modern lifestyle on our bodies

This workshop is part theory, part practice. After gaining an understanding of chronic pain and the underlying stories involved, you will be guided through a practice that might support people in their healing process. You will gain the tools and principles to:
🌟 foster interoception and proprioception
🌟 explore available movement in the body
🌟 regulate the nervous system
🌟 create effortless movement in your postures
🌟 release diaphragmatic tension in support of the healing processes
🌟 strengthen the tissues
🌟 create a safe and invitational practice space

And here we are in 2025 already! With a new year come a lot of new offerings at Little Yoga Space.

A warm welcome to a few new additions to the team:
✨ Lisa, who will be starting a new Thursday morning Align & Flow class;
✨ Steffi, who will be offering 2 new Breathwork sessions, one for women in menopause and one for emotional and physical release;
✨ Jonathan, who will be taking over the Tuesday evening Breathwork for Men class from Tom.

Also... Michi will start a new Yoga for Better Sleep class in the new year, and Martina is back with the monthly Community Reiki & Nidra sessions.

🗓️And for anyone who wants to kick-start their wellbeing routine, I will be offering a new 6-week block of the Yoga & Somatics for back pain class from January 8th.

Plus there are a couple of trainings coming up for Yoga Teachers, and anyone working in Social Impact.

Our Story

Little Yoga Space is a place for sharing, healing and connecting - located in the historic heart of Lisbon. We want to provide a space where people can learn and grow as well as discover their personal journey to well-being and balance. We offer a variety of classes and workshops and everyone is welcome to join. We have carefully selected a range of holistic therapies to help restore body and mind. The main hope we have however is to create a sense of community and to give something to the community.
